Now I got to say this I'm a 💯 percent through and through LSU tiger fan and must give it up to Tech; I like this version of neck better than LSU band only because it really and truly sounds "exactly" like the original song note for note beat by beat LSU close but Tech is on point
The Band of Pride went hard on this. @ConcealedCarryReview btw we are not in TEXAS. We never heard none of your bands before nor care to. This is LOUISIANA ya digg!
William Cooper if it sucks so bad, why did techs band director come ask for it? and that's how I know your ears are broken because to this point no white school had ever topped a black school playing black music, have you even hard the original song? Do you know the artist? . Stick to Taylor Swift music please, and tell the black dude to stop making a fool of himself.
@@DevaJones03 how can music have a color?...thats exactly the same as somebody saying "quit acting black".....how tf do you act a color? That's some lame shit..now I do understand a get what you're saying them hbcu colleges can put it down on the marching band..(the football teams not so much) but I digress. Tech just perfected it.
@@jaycie3558 SMH let me educate you on your ancestors right fast since you clearly dont know the deal. There was a genre of music called "race music" it was all the music preformed by black people. Now often times white people would hear those songs and steal them and amazingly when the artist was white it would be called "pop".....now keep in mind WHITE people created that term and used it HEAVILY. That genre then morphed into the various genres white some of them today are called "urban" that term is also widely used and is basically a dog whistle that means black. So dont ask me how music can have a color when it is YOUR people who gave it a color. I cant change it or fix it....just like racism the people who created it must fix and abolish it. Now lets move to your next statement that proves you are not very smart. Your comment about HBCU football.....how can a underfunded program compete with a fully and often over funded program???? So if you are not going to speak to the injustice of financial equality in higher education at pwi's vs hbcus or at least not even educate yourself that it does in fact exist.....make sure you refrain from digressing ever again. You only look like more of an idiot when you do. Now to your last horribly wrong opinion. When that version of that song you are hearing was arranged it was arranged for a band that is totally different than the one playing it. Therefore the arranger took in mind the exact instrumentation the band had that he was writing it for. I have the original music as I used to be a part of the world famed and i have that very music memorized as i've played it thousands of times. They are not only playing rhythms wrong they are also playing it wrong dynamically. Now if you call that perfecting it....then you have no clue of musicianship at all. When you are in college you should be able to read rhythms and dynamics easily especially when the band uses lyres and doesnt have to remember shit. Just sayin.
I mean I've heard several different versions from different Louisiana bands (including HBCU) and I still tend to prefer our version. But that's just me :)
A&T... Grambling... PVAMU.... SOUTHERN LMAO.... they put this to shame. HBCU marching bands coined this and trying to copy their song & style is basically paying tribute... Everything this band can offer is someting every HBCU has, by giving a mediocre version of the song they all play, you're just paying tribute. They say imitation is the best form of flattery
If you don't know this is a Cameo tune, and if you think Mystikal plays "music", then there's no retort to your lame ass comment needed. Good try tho man!
Nah son😢😢😢😢
Yeah girl 😎😎😎😎
Nah what?
Back in the day when LaTech could be counted as something.
@@tssas2813 possibly 🤔
This was my favorite one that y'all played. It was great getting to meet some of your low brass.

Appreciate it TCU Tuba!
My grandfather was part of the band in the 50s, Hoogland Hall is named after his dad.
Interesting 🤔
Dude, Tech band is awesome. I am not ashamed and I am an alumni!!
Yep!

They're just having fun.
Right on 👍
That's so dope!!!!!
You know it!
oh this is basically the same arrangment as the original song..
Sure is!
Um... don't bash. They are just having fun. It sounds a lot better in the stands than... Well look where they are. An aircraft carrier.
This was an amazing experience even though it wasn’t the best place for sound

The killing part is this is gramblings arrangement. .......
