Already was excited seeing the line-up cuz of Terri Lynn and Linda... was listening to this as I had to knock off some writing. But then they came in at the :42 mark and I was like wait what? Dayuuummmm So I'm officially distracted now.. I caught Linda with Pat Metheney back in December at a Jazz club in Baltimore and she was killing it then... This whole crew is just putting in tasty, heavy, thoughtful work. But damn that lock-up with Terri's foot and Linda... whew

Great sound!!! ...Fine chops all around! ...Amazing nuances and floating sonic subtleties in the forms. ...I first admired Terri when I heard her with Stan Getz (that was fantastic music of the time.). ...I'm looking forward to hearing more from this band as it evolves. ...We've got some real 'ear candy' here that is fusing many influences from soulful melodic vocals to avant-garde and cool jazz. ...That's what i can tell from this sampling here. ...Maybe even modal snippets.

Linda plays beautifully here, IMO a much better match than when I saw her with Metheny a few years ago. She really drives it.
I have been listening to this eclectic collection for months and look what I found. I only wish a performance of "Respected Destroyer" had been included.

I appreciate the Gender equality observed in the way these musicians present themselves to the camera. Looking nice does not have to be vampy when playing live jazz as a female musician. Its about the music!

I liked it until they start to perform the "improvisation" (~00:20:00) which sounds like to most average "improvisation" out there...
