  • Ghost of Tsushima is a great game, but it’s not a STEALTH game. In this design essay, I provide analysis of the game design of Ghost of Tsushima (GoT) and explain how Suckerpunch intentionally designed GoT as a stealth-combat HYBRID, and the subtle ways in which the game encourages that balanced play style.

Game sounds very similar to Shadows of Mordor/War. Just prettier and different setting.
I would have to buy a ps just to play this so I’m on the fence. Great honest review though. Sekiro upset me because it wasn’t enough stealth

Thanks for stopping by! I've heard that some people had hoped for more of a Tenchu-style gameplay out of Sekiro, which makes sense since as I understand it, Sekiro was sort of meant to be a spiritual successor to the Tenchu series.
I still haven't gotten a chance to play Shadows of Mordor/War. Will have to take the time to try them out sometime!
As for Ghost of Tsushima, I had a ton of fun with the game but it definitely wasn't what I thought it would be! 😀

@@Altercate yes tenchu is what i had hoped for but was disappointed. Still a fun but challenging game. I just can’t stay into it

@@GTBlueGold I dream of the day we get a true successor to the original Tenchu!

Well if you want a ninja simulator Mark of the Ninja and the Aragami games are good enough.
I do agree with a lot of what you said despite never playing the game being discussed. MGS never really felt like a "true" stealth game to me either it has both action and stealth and both tend to be seperate from each other.
I am not even surprised Sucker Punch didn't really make a full on stealth game here, the Sly games have non existent stealth mechanics.
