Great info lads, wish I had of seen this before I bought my 17 inch twin rail. Paif 800 for it, had to spend another 850. Not all old guys are genuine 😂 At least now I have a semi new machine that will last.
A bargain like that is super hard to find. Need to be on the lookout for them. We’ve since moved away from sourcing them as the cost and what they need done to bring them up to good working order is not worth it compared to some of the machines you can get on the market new.
Hey Guys nice job have a question have you seen the paint from rusteloum Hammerite Green paint & black helps a lot on mowers I really used an completely abused this paint mends up on scratch
Usually the little bearing case that clamp onto the shaft at each end of the rear roller come slightly loose at the grub screw, which allows the gap to open up.
Guys why showing two different Scotties the first one was a Tecumseh now this is a Briggs 5hp I/C why I just remove the engine knotch the crack weld it grind
Hi mate, Thanks for watching. The one with the briggs is Mick’s mower which has a cracked deck. We were just using it as an example to show that solid decks crack along with twin rails.
great info lads, hope you can get it running 🤞
Thanks half cut - nice name by the way! Stay tuned, that video is coming soon!

Only putting $850 into it is pretty decent. We’ve chucked thousands into our rebuilds 😂
I’m in Victoria. A hunk of crap is $900 my 17” owes me 2500 lol
Do you know where I can get hold of an original type throttle?
Where and how do you find them? I am also in Melbourne and can’t find anything at all.

Hey Bruce, thanks for commenting.
No we haven’t seen it, but we will keep a look out for it!
Cheers
How on earth is that a 50$ pickup haha. In Sydney people will ask $800 for this. Great pickup.
We’ve got our secret strategy
Hi Lads, did it endup running ?
We ended up selling it before we had the chance to get it running
@@LawnLads all good. Thought i was going crazy trying to find the vid. Was a good lil unit you found.
What causes the gap in the rear roller?

I would be over the moon to pay $800 for that one with the crack, let alone $100!
The market was completely different a couple of years ago
Good on you both for completly stitching someone up........
Please explain?
Probably some little old granny
Nah sorry mate it wasn’t
