The Governor is the best villain imo - while they had to cut the sadism from the comics, they added a psychological, manipulative, deceptive personality to him which fleshed him out a lot more. They also didn't carry the one-dimensional aspect over from the comics.
Shane made me a fan of the walking dead, he's 1 for me then The Governor one of the best Insane villans of all time, then id say Negan when he was The villan. I didn't like nice Negan very much, good list though man, your channel is very high quality and very underrated.
People are gonna get triggered but the governor OBJECTIVELY speaking is a better written villain than negan. The governor and Rick had that Batman joker vibe to them and were perfect opposites. Negan isn’t as well written because he just takes what he wants and just bullies Rick for 2 seasons straight without Rick being able to even fight back so it just got exhausting for a lot of walking dead fans and understandably so.
THE GUVNAA hes a villain i loved to hate, every time he was on screen I never knew what shit he'd pull and I loved that so much! A villain that actually made me feel FEAR
Now, originally, I was a bit mixed on Beta's background being changed for the show, from a basketball player to now a famous country singer. Over time, though, I learned to really like it, as it definitely added more to his character. Especially considering how he talked. Like yeah, the Whispers whispered, it was their whole thing. But now, knowing Beta's background, it makes sense. Obviously, people would recognize him, so he wore the mask all the time, like the comics. But considering people would also instantly recognize his voice, he'd always have to talk differently when compared to his natural voice.
Gotta agree that I love Lance. I wish he became the main villain instead of Pamela, he was 100 times more interesting and cool. I wish he had a more interesting death.
A thing I liked about shane as a villian is his conflict with rick was the most personal. He was actually a group member and we havent had a conflict like that again. Other villians are outside groups but shane was ricks best friend and that was what made shane the best villian on the show imo. Its like (Better Call Saul Spoiler coming!!!!) Jimmy and Chucks conflict, it was really personal and thats what made it so good. All the other Walking Dead villians are Lalo Salamancas but Shane is a Chuck.
Gareth and Terminus were such wasted potential. Human cannibals in TWD would’ve been so cool and creepy to have as a primary antagonist, but we only got like 3 episodes out of it. Shame

He is involved in of most iconic scenes of the series from the attack on the prison to his brutal treatment of Michonne and other characters, his actions leave a lasting impact on both the story and the audience. Negan atleast for me, felt like a antihero more than villian yes he did kill Glenn and abraham, but he never created more of tension after that moment, as i like to say: Negan is the dog who barks and The Governor is the dog who bites.
I prefer the comic Negan cuz the badass stays badass, like the way he cut Alpha’s throat was unexpectedly brutal, clean, and quick, just like he did to Glenn and other characters. And also his nonstop smile and the dirty jokes he spits in any situation. I don’t really know how to describe it. But the show Negan did too much self reflection which causes him having no choice but to shift his original personality a bit. I’m fine with it considering he’s in jail for so long, but it kinda saddens me that such a badass character that I love became a little “pathetic”. (If I don’t remember wrong, the comic Negan never cried with tears)

I know I am 6 months late but I want to give my opinion, Shane, Nicholas, Dawn and Owen the Wolf were not bad people, Dawn didn’t mean to shoot Beth, even Rick said it in season 5 episode 9, Nicholas had his redemption arc in season 6 episodes 1, 2 and 3, and Owen the wolf save Denise

I agree with Alpha and Beta, their introduction was really good but season 10 they kinda ruined them, they had a really interesting dynamic, definitely wasted potential.
Negan to me is a very big example of someone who you love to hate actually. He was such a sob but i couldn't help but laugh at so much things she said. "Is that you under all of that man-bush Rick? Woah i would have NOT messed with that guy!!" Lol 😂 I didn't like Siddiq's death either, not only because of what you say but i was very sad about Carl's death, and the moment Siddiq died, it was like he died for nothing. Dawn is a woman who wanted controle, but even though she did her best, she couldn't keep the other cops in line which gave her a minority complex (that's why she slapped Beth out of the blue, she saw her as weaker and easier to controle) and also paranoid, that's why sometimes she was decent and sometimes she wasn't. Her wanting to have too much controle over the situation was what killed her. She couldn't help but ask for Noah when they came to get Beth, which made Beth mad and made her accidentally shoot her then to get popped by Daryl herself. Don't try to justify yourself so much my man, you are completely entitled to your own opinion. The leader of the Wolves was named Owen 😜 ans the prisoners were named Andrew and Tomas, Tomas being the sh** happens dude.

Lest introduce them emediatley as villains in basically the finale and make them the most cartoonishly evil and irredemable villains and not in like a compeling way but in that they are just evil because they are. Apparently they where supposed to be the big thing of season 11 with a season 12 but it got canceld so maybe there could have been somthing there but probably not. Imagine a show that started by improving on tje source material and later making worse changes. Althoug to be fair the commonwealth is complete wank in both medias.

Rutina Wesley is the actress and she played Jacqueline, Michonne's old College pal. But yeah she's better known as Tara from True Blood or as you mentioned TEMU Michonne of TLOU's TEMU Rick and Michonne. Also, fun fact she tried out for the Michonne role initially. Man, after seeing her again in TLOU I can see why and am glad they chose differently. Also as someone who's watched 1-11 multiple times now, yeah 11 is weak as shit, but Lance Hornby. I LOVED as a villian. He was so eerily calm and collected. I think Angela Kang dropped the ball on the episodes where Lance got his old CIA pal to investigate the Riverside Apts community (the one where Negan is living with his Maggie hatred sheild aka Annie) and it could have dropped hints that Lance was colluding with CRM.

The best villain in my opinion is hands down Shane. Then I'd say the Governor and then Joe, then Gareth and then Lance Hornsby and Simon tie and then everyone else is on the same level for me. The reason I like Lance so much is because of the actor who plays him. He does a great job. Same with the actor who plays Simon.

Just curious why do a tier list as opposed to just ranking them the normal way? Idk what it is but I feel like the tier list format makes every list way less interesting because a lot of them get placed in the same tier along side each other in these lists and so it feels less like making a definitive statement on which is better over another in your opinion and so I've just always despises tier lists lol.

Tomas was prison leader, guy trying to kill rick. Andrew was the one that got Lori killed but was lack luster.
