    I dig the heritage units. I loved the Veterans unit the most. N&S honoring all the fallen RxRs in time past.

      They did a good job, but the heritage units are just not the same as the originals 😕 I like the colors of the Veterans unit.

    Only a few minutes from my house.
    I should be out there every day doing what you do. I miss it so much. Live in Gainesville (GA) currently.

    Nice catches. I caught these same freights in Greenville Taylors and Greer area as well. 118 came after dark, but I caught 238 in Greenville, SC just before daylight ended

    Heya again! Looks like I made good at Dave & Buster's today. Also, while I was still striking up the hill at Mississauga, ON, the BMW car that hit the pothole there lost his hubcap. And so I was laughing too much (I will also receive hiccups as other words) about losing your tire hubcaps on all these vehicles 'n' trailers. Plus it's awesome if you catch M18 led by the "HONORING OUR VETERANS" SD60E #6920 alongside a plethora of standard cabs (with SD70, SD40, and GP38-2 high nose). I checked out my notepad earlier in the day, and I said, "What happened to that BMW? It lost it's last hubcap because what?" and time for a throw of 3 heritages for this video. WE DON'T KNOW! WE DON'T KNOW!! WE DON'T WE DON'T WE DON'T DON'T KNOW!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE DOOOOOOOON'T KNOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hurhahahahahahahaha!! Knooooooow! Oh, sorry manny!

      mbmars01 No problem! :P I'm still pretty mad that I wasn't able too get NS 8099 yesterday on NS 349 in Selma. My dad had to go to a meeting here and it was at 5pm and 349 would have passed by then. And Selma is 45 minutes away from where I live :'(

    • @mbmars01
      @mbmars01  8 років тому

      +Captain Justice I'm sorry, I know how it feels if one knows a heritage unit is nearby and one cannot go see it. I wanted to get NS 6920 a couple of weeks ago, but it didn't work out, no time. Last week I eventually got it. Sometimes, one simply needs to be patient. I haven't yet seen NS 8099 by myself either. Yesterday I saw NS 1074 in Austell.

    • @CaptainJustice166
      @CaptainJustice166 8 років тому

      mbmars01 Yeah...outside of Amtrak, I haven't gotten any heritage units. 8099 would have changed that, but HU's are starting to come back around. Hopefully another one comes through soon. I hope 1070, 1072, or 8098, those are my favorites :)

      I know, they are awesome. One of my ultimate favorites is 8101, Central of Georgia, which I haven't yet seen. I have an HO model of it, it's simply beautiful.

    Lovely seeing 6920.. My favourite NS unit. But I have to ask is how does CP units get in the mix?

    • @mbmars01
      @mbmars01  7 років тому

      All railroads have lease agreements for using foreign power if it crosses over from one railroad to another. It would just be inefficient to exchange the engines of those trains.

    • @robertdblack7179

      You're welcome. I read a lot of books. One which I found very useful was The Historical Guide to North American Railroads, but there are also many others. Wikipedia has become a good resource for information and many other websites. - Thanks!
