This is so helpful! I like the richness that the warm base wash gave the painting. I definitely want to give this a go for my next painting. Thank you!
Thank you. I needed some confirmation. I use different values of burnt sienna, (depending on what I'm painting) as a mid tone for my undercoat. My painting always come out warmer and more realistic looking. I'll never paint on stark white canvas again. Great tutorial, thanks 🖌🙂.
Beautiful experiment, I would say those 3 wolves are crossing the season s - spring, summer and winter. Thanks so much for being such a reat instructor and Artist. 🌈❤👌✨
I’ve been dying to try this, but my pallet is a white tile and I was afraid I would have a problem mixing my values correctly,I thought I would need a brown pallet to match values....so I chickened out😂,gonna give it a go tho thanks for another great tip ❤

So glad you found it helpful! That richness is such a lovely aspect to paintings, and just using a warm coloured base makes it even easier 😊
WOW!!! I never thought of using different color bases. Thank you so much!❤
Awesome! I may need to try this!
What a wonderful experiment! That was a fun watch! Nice shapes in the wolves and values…BRAVO! My favorites were the last two for sure 🎉
Thank you very Much for sharing your experience with us. I will try to remember to give the white canvas a color wash 😊

I would go for Brown. White is wash-out. Blue is out - there is plenty of blue on the wolf distracts from the whole.
Beautiful all the same!
