Thanks, guys, I really appreciate listening to your discussions. I always learn something that reinforces my biblical worldview. Your talks often make me want to read the Bible more often. Keep it up and don’t get discouraged.. ever. Keep seeking the kingdom of God with extreme enthusiasm
Just another echo chamber session of typical Apologists talking points. Points that having been debunked over and over again. Evolution is a fact of life. In fact life as we know it, does not survive without necessary modifications over time. In essence, Darwin's Theory is the Theory of Life. And has been from the beginning of Life. I know how hard it is to accept this reality. But reality it is.
@@TheConqueringTruth Because you wouldn't say stupid things like the stuff you say in this video or in the description. "The theory of evolution is just that, a theory." You clearly then don't know that a theory is a body of knowledge with the highest degree of trust due to its consistent practical results and reliability? Did you know that disease, atoms and gravity are also theories? Would you also be silly enough to claim they are "just theories" and throw them away? Evolution has the same degree of evidence, same degree of confidence, same degree of reliability etc etc. Did you know that on the NCBI alone there are over 100,000 peer-reviewed papers discussing and documenting evolution from the most basic small changes in the genome to full genomic comparisons through molecular analysis? Did you know that over 99% of all biologists globally accept evolution? Did you know the Discovery Institute once had a statement of faith in which they openly admitted they would ignore and disregard any and all evidence that contradicts their view of scripture? Did you know Meyer and Tour are a part of that institute? Did you know Discovery has also admitted that they are deliberately trying to undermine science education in America as per the leaked "Wedge Document"? You are a victim of a scam. You have Google and access to more knowledge than anyone has in Earth's history, and rather than learn anything, you ignore over 100 years of scientific research in favour of a dogmatic view of scripture.
yes, we actually talked about the fact that there are many theories that are incredibly useful that are just theories. We talked about how some of them persist for quite a long time being useful in certain areas and completely false in others. I believe we use dephlogisticated air as an example but we could have used Newtonian physics as an example of flawed theories that had or continue to have useful applications. We didn't say it's flawed because it's a theory, which is what you seem to be implying. You also seem to think that the number of peer-reviewed papers is evidence of correctness. It's a much better evidence of funding. I actually don't see anything from your comments that suggests that you understand science or even what the principles of evolution that we disagree with are. Here's a questio: do you believe that if an infinite number of monkeys type that keyboards for an infinite amount of time they would eventually produce the complete works of Shakespeare? And why or why not?

Thank you for this episode, I like Dr. Tour but Dr. Stephen C Meyers is really amazing. Their wonderful in regards to ID but I think they hold to an old Earth view but I'm not 100% certain of that. Hugh Ross is an old Earth creationist but he's dogmatic, which is very very dangerous.
I'll have to check out Meyers. I think I've heard his name but I'm not sure that I've listened to any of his stuff. If you didn't check out the links in the video description I highly recommend the video by Drew Berry. The main reason why I liked Tour was that I thought he paired very well with the concepts that Berry uncovers. Tour can clearly articulate the complexity of the details but Berry work helps makes those details understandable to the layman in a way that I think is really hard to do through any other means except for extensive study.

Another example of folks who fail to understand the science claiming its incorrect. Ignorance plus arrogance always leads to disaster!
How are you so convinced that we are ignorant of and do not understand evolutionary biology?

Yes, I agree 100% about Stephen C. Meyer - he’s a very brilliant man who’s fascinating to listen to.
