Hi Friends! You KNOW I had to add the most dramatic music possible for this video!! hehe. Thank you so much for your support on this half marathon journey 💘 ALSO, wow thank you for all the hype for my haircut in last week's video. I couldn't believe the amount of comments there were in support.... so it's safe to say that the short hair is here to stay. Love ya, have a great long weekend!
Loved this video! It’s so cool to watch you discovering more about yourself, whether that’s through running or another avenue. Congratulations on a job well done.
You did great! You have to remember , you weren't feeling very good either. Maybe that's why your stomach was not behaving
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Yayyyy Chelsea!!!🥳🥳🥳 Rocked it!!!!🥳🥳🥳Amazing!!! 🥳🥳🥳
So inspirational- I have to tell you -my eyes completely welled up when you finished. Yes girl! Thanks for sharing such an emotional challenge. Gives me hope for sure - please get some rest!!!
you're welcome Chelsea.. and thanks for sharing your half marathon journey.. all the best enjoy the long weekend my friend.. U definitely deserved it 😇💯👊
I'm still watching the video, I just had to pause quickly and say that you look absolutely radiant, Chelsea! Even if you don't feel it on the inside with all of your stress about the race. You're glowing and real 💕
Dang that’s so nice 😭 thank you 🙏🏻
I totally agree!!!!!
Chelsea, I say this with love but whyyyyy are you putting so much pressure on yourself ? We are not watching you - we are supporting you! And if there's ever any hater we will happily roast them for you 😉❤
Congrats on completing the half marathon, you did amazing! 🥳
It’s just how I am :) I am this way with everything, but I’m glad that is the case because it’s helped me experience some pretty cool things! Thanks tho for helping to roast the haters 🥰 lol
I got teary eyed and full body chills when you crossed the finish line - you should be so damn proud of yourself!!
Chelsea, you are the epitome of strength and courage. Through all the ups and down and all the in betweens you not only killed it but you thrived. On top of that, filming it all for us to be encouraged and inspired by you. Thank you for continuing to put yourself out there! Cheering you on always!
❤❤❤
2hours and 11 min including all the "problems" along the way is an amazing time !! fabulous and congratulations of finishing the halfmarathon!
I'm bringing over some tea and tissues - last time I watched a race day vlog from Chelsea, I cried like a baby 😅 Currently lying in bed and trying to overcome a brutal cold. Although I'm just an average runner, I live for this type of content. So happy & proud of you, Chelsea! ❤🔥
Awe I hope you feel better soon!!
me, an average runner overcoming a cold watching chelsea... r we twins?
@@cecebarron haha yep, separated at birth & reunited here on ytb 😄 hope you feel better and get to go out for a run soon... I know I miss it like crazy
Hi Chelsea, Ive had hypothyroid, Hashimotos for almost 39 years. intense exercise really disrupts my body. I only wished I had listened to my body more in my younger days, Id not be having all the issues in this life stage. however, I have more than one autoimmune disease. All my specialty doctors have told me that once you acquire one you will be guaranteed more. listen to your body. do what feels right. don't let your ego get in your way of health. Did that and paid for it. I suffer with disruptive sleep and extreme fatigue. I still live my life to the best of my capabilities. I have a 4 year old grandson who loves his grandma and wants to do all the things I did with his brothers. Hiking, running, camping etc. I told the nugget, grandma was much younger then🤣 he told me that I wasn't old....gotta love them littles. give yourself grace. you did great young lady💜
I had a LOT of poop and others IG issues with gels on half or full marathons when those sport gels became popular sources of energy to consume on race day or training. In fact, my stomach wasn’t happy with them. So… You know what? I have simply returned on more natural sources of sugar and salt: homemade dense cooked rice balls (sometime with a small caramel square inside!), coated with sugar and salt, that I wrap individually. And only water during the race. No Gatorade (it’s too much sugar). I had no more IG issues since. In fact, too much concentrated sugar (gels, Gatorade, for example) is the #1 reason for IG problems on the race. Congrats for your new PB!
Great job! I just started watching these running vlogs as motivation. I am not a runner, but have a goal of focusing on walking for fitness/wellness. Diane in Denmark on her UA-cam channel usually does Friday videos in which she gives four self-care assignments one can choose from and one week she mentioned a new fitness activity. I only having been walking two times a week. So I could set a goal of walking a 5K. Great reflection, Morgan Harper Nichols has an affirmation that says "I am creating space for both gentleness and strength." So, thank you for the reminder to take care of ourselves!
Hi Chelsea!! 🙋🏻♀️I am SOOOO proud of you!! You smashed this!! I have never run like this in my life (I'm guessing running 🏃🏻♀️ for the bus doesn't count 🤫🤭🤣🤣), but to me you trained hard, showed up, dealt with everything thrown at you, and still came out 15 minutes earlier....that's incredible!! You are such an inspiration ✨️ thank you for taking us along with you. ❤
Why am I crying?! I'm only at the part of the video where you finished and I am so proud of you! I am not a runner at all, but I understand all the work that goes into running a race like that. How awesome that you have this series of videos to look back and remember what you did to prepare and how you kicked butt!
Congratulations!! It's so nice to have a goal time, but it's also so important to take note if the time goal causes you more stress than motivation!
And also! If anyone reading has never been a race day volunteer - do it! It's such a heartwarming experience no matter where you help out!
I'm so glad I gave some positive vibes because I was honestly not feeling too hot in that moment either lol. You said something along the lines of "We got this!" and that honestly propelled me to the end and my PR :') Congrats again!!
OLIVIA!! It's you!! lol. Congratulations on the PR! ❤
Hi Chelsea, as someone also in their early 30s navigating through life I want to say you are such an inspiration and it is so humbling to know you are representing us on the internet. So thank you!
this is so nice of you to say 💘 thank you!!
So proud of you Chelsea! That’s a great PR!! Watching you race made me tear up especially at the end and I wasn’t even there lol. But the energy from the crowd and hearing people yell for you is awesome. 👏🏼 👏🏼
This was so cinematic, Chelsea! Beautiful shot and masterfully edited. Incredible video, and a stunning homage to all your hard work prepping and running the half marathon. Congrats, girlfriend!
Hey thank you so much!!
Ahhh your editing keeps getting better and better! That intro was beautiful. I personally love the dramatic music 🥲Congrats on another accomplishment! 🥳
I'm not a runner and have never been but I thoroughly love the way you explain things! You are so engaging and I love hearing you talk about things you are passionate about
Means a lot, thank you 🥹❤️
The fact that you gave a trigger warning for the alarm makes me feel I truly belong in this comment section lol.
Congrats on the race, you did amazing! Huge PR!!
I don't run, I don't want to run, but seeing you run that marathon and encourage yourself when it became hard still made me emotional. Love your videos and how relatable you are Chelsea!
1. The music in this video is perfect, so cinematic! Good choice! Especially loved that ethereal one when you finished!
2. When you were already standing among others ready to go, OMG I hate that nervousness, I always just wanna go, I don't wanna just stand there for minutes and minutes more bcs the suspense is killing me HAHA
3. When you said "I can do this, let's go", I freaking bawled already, why does running have to be so emotional HAHA and even more emotional watching others do it?! I swear I had no idea until my mid twenties! :DDDD And people cheering and saying your name, how cool!
4. Yes, rock that T-shirt!
Could not follow you like I did during the marathon but was waiting like crazy for this video! I am soooooooooooooo soooooooooo proud of you, who tf cares about the time, you still ran better than you did before! Btw what you said about the failure happening in front of us and then it is our loss too, I would not consider it a loss either way, bcs I think all of your community feels like we are with you in the highs and the lows as well. But I am glad after crying in Central Park, you finished the race on such a high! And then with the stomach issues too!
Looking forward to your anti-inflammatory journey, this is what I have been dealing with too, but I just can't stay away from running. But I am taking it very slow now.
You are such an inspiration, in so many ways! Congratulations, Chelsea, job well done! 🌹
Hey Chelsea - not sure if you’re still struggling with your couch arm chairs but I just got the exact couch you have (actually how I found your channel somehow) and put it together myself. I have a tip that worked for me- If you put on the arms first, use a little hammer or mallet to gently tap the arms into place, then if you take the back piece and just line up the edge on the outside (the one on the opposite side from the corner, if you can get that little guy lined up, it makes it much easier to slight adjustment the corner side and then you can slide it in. Not sure if that’s helpful or not but I was able to do it on my own that way!!
When I watch the live So many ppl passed out during the finish line an old guy didn't he kept going lol be proud u finished it one year I read 21 injuries and few ppl died so just that u finished the race is amazing! U did it and I loved cheering u on u inspired so many ppl the live was over when u where racing thanks for taking us with u
I’m so pleased and yes proud of your achievement. It’s such a pleasure watching you grow into a woman who knows herself. Your increased time in itself is such a positive reflection. On all you’ve learnt this past 12 months. Lovely to have Julia there with you and also the acknowledgement from your followers on here. Your star shines bright and brighter ⭐️⭐️⭐️..💗
Its So Nice To See That How You Balance Each Part Of Your Life 🎉
I just want to say I am so proud of you. I watched it and once you started running I think when you hit the 9th mile, I started Ballin crying like a baby. You are amazing beautifully amazing you have severe you accomplish something that some can’t!! I watch you all the time but I watch on my TV so I cannot comment. I do like your videos, but I watch you constantly and believe me you truly truly gifted and inspiration God bless you. Congratulations you did it woo hoo 🙌🏾 🎊 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤❤
I welled up when you crossed the finish line. It’s been a journey. You should be so proud! 🎉🎉🎉
i straight up teared up when you started to doubt yourself and then full on cried when you crossed the finish line, like you really did that! I'm proud of you!!
❤️❤️❤️
My wife and I also ran a race at 8am on the 18th. It was my slowest race ever and I was way off my goal, but I finished. And so did you! While you didn’t hit your goal time, setting a PR, enjoying the day, and feeling accomplished is all that matters.
Well done Chelsea, you are really inspiring me to get out there and do a half marathon or a 10k. Im 21 weeks pregnant and continuing to run 5km twice a week, getting slower but love how i feel after.
Your running content makes me so emotional. I used to run but stopped due to an injury. Proud of you!!!
I'm not the type that often comment videos, but congratulations for your performance !!!! It may not be the goal you were aiming for, but you made so much progress since your lasts half-marathons !
Also, at the beginning of the year you motivated me to register to my firt official race, your videos are so inspiring and motivating. I always love watching them, even 2 weeks late.
You're amazing !
I have recently started running because I got inspired by you. At the beginning I wasn't so sure about it but I realized it did not only improve my physical but especially my mental health. and even though I am nowhere near being able to run a half marathon, it is a goal I have in mind for the future. Thank you for inspiring me to try something new. I am looking forward to your future running videos. Great job on your race ❤
❤❤❤
Gooood jooooob Chelsea!! Your half was at the same time when mine was, except i am in Europe (Latvia). It was a really hot day and some people even passed out and i saw a couple of ambulances.. that was a bit chiling to see so i went slower than i originally thought i should be going. Didn't want to risk it as i didn't practice running in hot weather. It was a well organised event and there was a lot of water stations and stuff though. It was my first half marathon and my time was suuuuper slow, but doesn't matter i freaking did it!!! What an adventure! Now i have another half in September, and i know that i need to get more serious about my training routine. I know i wasn't always 100% into it and i didn't do my best, but i did it anyway.. Either way, definitely here for the running content, go Chelsea!! I loved being able to get motivated together!
Dude I couldn’t imagine running 10 miles needing to poop AND throw up. But I will say, I’m super proud of you when you inspire me a lot. I want to run a half marathon one day. I never would’ve had this goal if it weren’t for me watching these videos. As always, thanks so much for sharing this with us.
Not me tearing up watching you run across that finish line knowing the ups and downs you had preparing for this race. You are and will always be a rockstar!!!
Chelsea I am so proud of you.
Win or loose I am proud of you.
You got this.
You really inspired me to get into shape. I recently started dieting (calorie deficit) and exercising. Thank you so much for your content and from one stranger to another I am so proud of you!!!
Congrats!! I hate running but every time I watch your vids I get slightyyy more motivated to give it a go again! 😄
Congrats Virgo!! Quite an experience you had. Again you've persevered and lived to tell. Nothing but love for ya. Stay amazing!!!!!
Chelsea! I have been watching for the past few weeks ever since you showed up on Tisha's video! I have thoroughly enjoyed your running vlog! I also ran the Brooklyn Half myself and was keeping an eye for you but at last! And please don't be hard on yourself - you got a great time and not to mention PR-ing! All your hardwork really paid off!
AHHH CONGRATS!!!
I am so proud of you!!! You are easy to root for because of your kind spirit and open heart!
Thank you so much 🥹🥰
Awesome job! Grats on the finish time too! Even not running in your tip top shape you hit a massive PR!
This was my first ever Half Marathon and I had to train up to even be able to run this distance. Crazy that a in 2025 we'll be doing double this distance after we get the 9+1! Just finishing is an awesome accomplishment. The spectators give off such great energy too and help everyone continue to push strong. Much love to all the NYC peeps out here!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who cries watching people cross the finish line! Amazing time, well done.
I'm a lapsed runner and really miss it; you've inspired me to sort myself out 🧡
I love it when a video makes me smile, all the way through. Congratulations Chelsea🙌🏾 Continued blessings and abundance in all things good and great🙏🏿
That race time and pace is fantastic! Something to definitely be proud of! Just build off of this for the next race!!!
Chelsea keep up the great work with your training you are making progress. I'm enjoying my visit here in NYC ! I can see myself living here one day !
Chelsea, me and my dogs watch every video of you - and we love you.
I love how you've made running content palatable for non-runners like myself, and how you speak openly to us like a friend.
Been watching you for 6 months and find your content so calming and peaceful. Your energy is welcoming and accepting. 🫶🏻
Thank you so much, Emily 🥹❤️

I’m not a sports person, but watching this video makes me think that maybe I want to run a marathon too one day. You’re such an inspiration, Chelsea! Thank you for creating and letting us see bits and pieces of your life. So proud of you and so happy for you ❤
I came across your channel a couple of weeks ago and have binge-watched your videos from when you moved to your current apartment to this one. Your videos are so engaging, and when you finished the half-marathon, I got a tear in my eye. Good for you for pushing through even though you weren't feeling your best. I look forward to seeing what you do next. 😊
Hi, Chelsea ☺️ YOU ARE AMAZING 💞🤩
Thank you for sharing with us all your emotions, feelings and real life being, that is what makes your vlog such special and interesting.
I love watching your videos and appreciate your honesty when it comes to things like this🤣❤️ one of my sisters is the same age as you and also runs, so it's cool to get the insider scoop on training for a marathon ❤️
I don't know why but I got emotional watching for feeling your feels during this. Keep doing what you are doing being so authentic and relatable girl 🖤
Awww. I legit teared up hearing ppl cheer for you... YOU ROCK CHELSEA! CONGRATULATIONS!
I love how honest you are about where you're at and how you're doing, even when it's not "pretty." I am not allowed to run, but when you were approaching the finish line and crossing it I got so emotional. I don't know the feeling of overcoming that type of physical exertion, but I know the feeling of working hard and pushing through to get to a goal and I'm so proud of you for fighting past your demons to achieve a really impressive results. I can't wait to see what you set your sights on next
Chelsea!! PRing by 15 mins in amazing, and we can all tell how much of your heart and soul you put into this race💪 I felt like i was right there with you literally willing you on while i watched, and i definitely teared up with pride at the end, not even at your result but just your determination and outlook on it all💖 super super proud of you and cant wait to see what the future holds
YOU DID IT! So proud of you Chelsea! 🎉

Hi Chelsea! So proud of you! You did great! You showed up and you finished! Love that you are able to give yourself grace and analyze what you can do better for the next one. What a champ you are! Rest and take care! As always, thank you for sharing!
Honestly tearing up watching this! You should be so proud of yourself, thank you for sharing your journey with us ❤️
You inspire me! The fact that you kept going even when your body had different plans is a testament to how hard you worked for this! You are awesome! 👏
Been behind on your vids, but was def waiting to watch this one. Congrats on your PR at the half marathon!!! 🎉👏🏻🙌🏻🫶🏻
Chelsea we don’t even know each other and yet I am so proud of you! I had tears in my eyes the moment you said you made it. Well done, big congrats!
Congratulations- take some time to appreciate how your body never lets you down! My running days are over and I’m getting a new knee in a few months. I dream of running. Love watching you run!
CHELSEA, I am so proud. Your training and the race day was full of obstacles but you did it and you should be so freaking proud! I hope you enjoy more relaxed summer runs now
Congratulations Chels! So proud of you all the way from Nairobi Kenya 🫂
You are very human and inspiring. Thanks for sharing your life, despite how crazy that can be.
Glad to know I wasn’t alone in getting teary eyed at the end 😭😭🫶🏾 so proud of you!!!
You are so freaking amazing Chelsea!!! 🎉
You did it! Despite physical challenges and not feeling good, you finished! As a non-runner, one question I have for you (or others) is why the push to beat a certain time? I had to look up what PR is, lol. It seemed like sometimes you were thinking that you would be failing if you didn't make that time goal. I know in the end you were at peace about it, and that's good. Running *anything* is a success in my book. You seem to enjoy the races and challenging yourself, and that's what counts. I know I'm not the only one who is proud of you!
Yay thank you!! To answer your question, I think there is fun in pushing the limits to what you can do, just to see what is possible. For me it's running and for others it may be something different :) a good challenge is good for the soul sometimes!
This video was great- you did awesome! I'm excited to watch you to continue to explore your health holistically and find ways to nurture your body how it needs to be nurtured! By the way, if you're looking for any content for your wellness journey, I love the Rich Roll Podcast... it's all about health, wellness and fitness.
Congratulations Chelsea on your race. You did a fantastic job! Never doubt yourself because you are a strong, amazing and resilient woman. Proud of you!
Girl! So close to 100k!!!
And no matter what, you trained and committed to running this- so in my book, that’s amazing enough! No matter what the outcome, you did awesome! And any minutes shaved off the other race is fantastic!
Oh perioddddd you did that girl! Congrats🥳
So proud of you Chelsea !!!❤
100K baby!! congratulations Chelsea!!
This was my first half marathon and my realistic goal was 2:30. I was spot on although I wanted faster time and dealt with stomach upset the whole time. It’s hard to let go of expectations or the what ifs. I have to be very intentional about my gratitude and pride in doing this in the first place 💪🏻 congratulations!!
proud of you Chelsea!!! you're an inspo of what dedication , consistency, and drive can achieve!!
You did it, Chels! You did it! 👏👏👏❤️
This was such a beautiful, introspective, raw and genuine journal of your experience. Thank you for sharing. One of the best vlogs yet!
I was in NYC on race day for a friends birthday (from MA), and I was thinking about you! You are amazing and should feel SO PROUD! Thank you for sharing your journey.♥️

Why did you finishing the race make me super emotional?
Way to go Chelsea!
Congratulations Chelsea! You did it! I too second all the followers that cried during your race. I got chills and teared up when you were getting to the end. So so proud of you. Some day I will be in NY to cheer you in person. Go Chelsea!!
I’ve been on my running journey and it’s been phenomenal but seeing your content really is both encouraging and lovely to watch. Thank you for sharing and congratulations on an amazing run
Congratulations Chelsea. I teared up a bit at the end of your race! Way to capture that feeling. I love how real you are in your videos and thanks for taking us all along with you on your race and navigating life in NYC in general. ❤
Hey Chelsea. Im sorry I haven't been here as much as I wanna. Work is ramping up. And Im Baby Stepping it back into TRYING to start training. First...Pre Race Jitters have alleyways been a thing for me. No matter how prepared I thinkI may have been. You never know what the uncontrollable variables will be. But you ALWAYS have pushed through, and also listened to your body when they plan doesn't go 100%. You're a Seasoned Racer now. The rollercoaster of being a runner never ends. But always remember now matter how many less than great experiences we have...we WILL have great experiences running and racing again. Its Lifestyle. A Journey. YOU DID YOUR BEST no matter what came at you. YOU INSPIRE THE HELL OUTTA ME EVERY SINGle TIME!!!
We win no matter what or how you do!!! We support your efforts…enjoy your life and find peace in the journey. 😍
🎉🎉Congratulations, Chelsea!! I'm so proud of you and happy for you-you're PR 👏
I heard people calling your name and I saw you smile. That moment made me cry😢 I now see how those cheers carry you through. I will cheer you on virtually from Cali at every race 🤗
So impressed 🏃♀️💨 by your time and that you are able to small talk during the run. With both the small talk and your editing skills it feels like we are there with you! 🥹🙌
Chelsea! You PRd by 15 minutes!!! What??? You should be dancing in the streets! I am so proud of you and so excited about how well you ran. I loved this video and I was cheering you on the whole way. Now bask in your success and enjoy the moment. I’m pretty sure there’s another half marathon in you! 🎉
Hey Chelsea, congratulations on completing the marathon the half marathon. I have to say watching your videos has actually inspired me to take more of an interest in my sister‘s runs. She’s been running 5K and half marathons and all kinds of stuff for years and I never kind of got it like I didn’t understand. It was just a race for me and I was like oh congratulations to her, but I never realized all the work you guys put in, so I have to thank you for helping me build a better bond with my sister because now I I understand more when she’s talking so congrats to you thank you and I’ll be cheering for you
This is really cool 😭💖 thank you for sharing this!
