For us in the US/Canada If you ask any person that grew up in the 90s as a kid, there is like a 90% chance they know this song by heart. Pokemon was very popular during this time. It probably sounds weird to a non-native speaker, but the song is about “catching pokemon” and being “the very best trainer”.

The English version takes me back to the good old days. Here in The Netherlands they still use the English openings, so eventho we didnt know what it meant we still sang along. Love it :3

Omg. The Korean version is soooooo different than what I expected. I grew up listening to the Japanese and American version, so it feels weird hearing it in a different language especially since the style is so different.

To me the Japanese and Korean openings are not that great and boring. But in the Japanese one, when pikachu goes under the girl with the skirt, the lyrics literally say "I can catch Pokémon under a skirt". That's why pikachu runs under her skirt. Can't take the Japanese serious. Ever!
But the Korean ending was cute. Japanese ending was weird. American ending was cool.

I am a Malaysian and we use the American song version. It is quite shock hearing the Korean and Japan version. I actually sing along by the way.

The American Pokemon theme song is a true classic for an entire generation. Ask anyone age 18-30 (therabouts) so sing it and you're more than likely to get a full rendition sung with all the excitement and emotion of a child, including backup vocals, instrumentals, and copious headbanging. They will then continue on their merry way, riding a wave of nostalgia and memory, but not before asking you about your favorite Pokemon and what cards you had.

the full american version is actually quite awe inspiring if you're a fan since the gameboy era. everytime i hear it i feel pumped and ready for battle.

What are you talking about, Dave? Pokemon's first opening in English/Spanish was not embarrassing, it's an emotional, and very well made rock song. And no, I'm not American, so I'm not biased, I'm Venezuelan, and we had the same song but in Spanish, and it's epic.

So much nostalgic these Pokemon openings. American and Japanese that are my favorite as a Japanese/American person. Korean opening has the best openings but very upbeat and good melody.

포켓몬이 미국 진출했을 때 시청률 1,2위를 다투던 애니가 국산애니인이란 사실을 대부분 모를지도 모르겠습니다.
뽀로로 한 해 수입이 판권으로만 2백억으로 아는데... 굿즈 수입 제외하고도 이 정도면 포켓몬 안 부러움.
눈물약자의 200억이면 닌텐도에서 포켓몬게임하나 발매하면 매출이 1000억이 기본인데 썬문만 1000만장팔림 ㄷ

Though if you guys want a influx of viewers maybe try react to a abridged anime. weirdly haven't found anyone from other countries reacting to those which would make it unque. causing more people to click on the videos and realize they like your style and click on your other videos.
