You see, one might think they coded the minions as champions, but that's a common misconception. They actually recoded them all as towers and every support ability was recoded as Janna Shield

if all is coded as champion, karthus can farm 3 waves and 8 camps using 1 single skill every 2 mins, its time to play karthus!!
For Morgana and Soraka I thought it was a new feature.
Then came Orianna and showed that it is just the classic spagetti code at its finest.
I may remember incorrectly, but there was a time when Karma and maybe Janna shields worked on minions and it was intended.
Yeah, it was intended. Look like they recode all the support spell to the same property as Janna shield. So they still cleaning up all the tech-debt behind the screen.
I used to annoy the enemy ADC by shielding the cannon minion before they hit, causing it to drop to very low right before they could hit it again, just so that the enemy minions finished it instead.
For Soraka it's an old feature she could heal minions till season 10-12
Karma i believe also works now, but Janna doesn't

In Nami Mains subreddit we were noticing this. It applies on Nami's E and applies the slow, in addition to the champs you have there it works on Zyra's plants too and applies some of the item effects to the minion (Maiden, Voidlings and Tibbers do not proc it)

i cant wait to have a Zilean that ulted a canon just to fuck over an ADC
And just like that Janna became the best champ in the game again. Janna R + Ardent Cencer. 25% attack speed and 20+ dmg per hit for the entire minion wave and ally summons.
Soraka used to be able to heal minions and lulu shield them. This was a way to deny minions

Weedwick is still in the game in Aram at least. Just play him AP and pray for squishes.
League is much more fun when it's chaotic opposed to they trying to balance everything and leads to a boring repedetive game.

It is a buff as now you have more agency in the lane. Its a nerf to low skill players.

This was in the game before, it was removed like 10 years ago, I remember annoying enemies by shielding minions they were going to lasthit and make them lose the last hit.
Edit: It used to work on wards too, you could shield wards.
I remember back in the day how disgusting it was to shield minions as Karma. if you timed things right, you could stack a massive wave under turret and make it so every 3rd melee minion required 4 turret strikes to die. You just demolished turrets if left unchecked. With void mites added into the picture, yikes…

I am actually suprised nobody is talking about the fact that back in the day Soraka healing minions was ACTUALLY in the game. Note: Just fact checked this, it was removed in V6.5, god I'm old.
