In every church sermon for this topic preach us only half, which mean the arrogant of younger brother who was lost and found but sometimes i think the main sermon will be on elder brother who stay home with father and become so jealousy when his brother return home and father's gave him everything, So i want to know what is or what will be parable for the jealous brother😢😢
Good stuff about the historic context and good conclusion. In my opinion, you are a bit askew of the main point of the story when you describe the younger son's repentance. The lost sheep doesn't repent. The lost coin doesn't repent. The lost son doesn't repent. The stories are not about the repentance of the lost ones. It is about what the shepherd, the woman, and the father will do to bring back or find the lost loved thing or person. But, you cannot throw the son on your shoulders and drag him home. And if you deny him his "due" he will not come home in the worst times out of pride and spite. The father must "find" or bring his son home by drawing him back with love. Loving him more than all the stuff he will waste and more than all the rules he will break and more than all the humiliation he will cause. When the son "comes to his senses" there is not a hint of "godly sorrow." There is no remorse for wasting and no remorse for conduct and no remorse for hurting his father. There is simply starvation and land a plan to get food. The entire rehearsed speech was a means to get food. Yes, he remembered his father was a good man to his servants. But even this memory occurred because the father did not fight him when he left. While there is nothing untrue about the fact that God accepts repentant sinners, the normal point to this story misses the magnitude of the amazing grace of Hod in that he wishes sinners would draw near to him even way before they reach true repentance. This is why Jesus is hanging out with sinners.
"One" of the guys from the church? Who? Was he another layperson or was he a staff/elder? Does grace and mercy for Judgement on him not apply based on his faith? Maybe he was of young/naive/baby faith. The verse referred to of not doing this to visitors is when a mature staff/elder quickly condemns/corrects a visitor, not a layperson. And Secondly, who get the favor and more grace and mercy, benefit of the doubt first and most, in 2 people's externally wrong behavior? The "brethren" or the "outsider" Yes, it's the brethren. So unless the man asking her to dress different is of the correctable harshness of position in the Body, this example engagement still wasn't handled or told in righteous detail.
A great messagw
I'm blessed with the message,

“Lost with the pigs or lost in the pews” 👏🏾 🔥
James 24: You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
No comment clarification about the son's Works thoughts to Earn reconciliation?
Wow
This is based on Tim Keller’s teaching in his book The Prodigal God.
No it's not. It's based on the right view of the story that only few Pastors/Teachers fully expound from the story.
