Unless you guys change your laziness you'll never get or keep a good woman like this in your life, hopefully this video inspires that positive change and growth! :)
I love Chinese and Japanese food's routine. They eat a variety of foods in small portions in a single meal. This way, they get all the nutrients that their body needs and don't get fat because they mostly eat vegetables, fruits, some rice and the proteins. To this it seems that they add a good sleep and the moves, the physical activities.
And it looks like she ate so much food because of the many bowls, but really this meal is probably like only 500-600 calories. Meanwhile Westerners will eat a 1500 calorie meal piled high on big plates and say they didn't eat too much. US portion sizes are out of control. I went to a hotel in Chicago and ordered a hot dog, they gave me two giant hot dogs for one meal, and a half plate of fries piled up.
you notice another thing? her clothes and makeup routines are what in the west are called extreme minimalism, a small wardrome, put your hair up in a bun, makeup just to enhance a bit your natural beauty, and that alone will cut an hour or more of CRAZY getting ready routines now a days. so I think this is all very possible to make a nice omelette and some nice cut veggies instead of drawing our face on and styling our hair like its for the Wella awards.

And don't tell me you can't have it for breakfast. Breakfast is the most important important meal of the day. Lassi, nishasta, badam ka dudh, elaichi kaju ki kheer, this is a nutritious version of milk and cereals. Then there's fruit chaat, thandai with variants. Read about how pehalvan in Haryana make it. There are also sprouts and beans ke chillay, or omlette version if you enjoy mixing sprouts with eggs. I am desi at heart. Japanese breakfast is nutritious. But desi girl loves home food.
I love Indian breakfast as well & I'm sure it's very nutritious. Infact I like breakfast in other countries as well & everyday I try to have something different & exciting. However, I'm entitled to have my favourite & even though I can't always find time to try making Japanese breakfast, I find it extremely wholesome & nutritious. I love how they eat mindfully & not merely for the sake of it. Surely the average lifespan can't be merely 84 years if it wasn't primarily for the food. 🙂🇯🇵♥️
I love how she makes herself an entire spread for breakfast. This is how mornings should be. Slow relaxed take time for ourselves. Americans we shower the night before, wake up a half hour before work.. throw on some clothes, run out the door and grab a greasy mc muffin and sugar filled starbucks and cram it down our throat on our way to work. It’s ok to slow down.
It's not just in america. Alot of countries dont prioritize breakfast not just because of work, but because dinner is the most important since it's the only time that the family can eat together and bond. Most events are also dinner parties.
For me- after I wake up I work out for 1 hour, sometimes throw a load of laundry in, make coffee, eat breakfast- gotta have breakfast- cereal with nuts and yogurt or boiled egg (I don’t eat fast food-hurts my tummy) clean up, dress for work then head out door. I pre make lunch night before. On days I don’t go to work I make a big yummy breakfast- omelette with cheese and lots of veggies. Ok I think I’m hungry 😂😂

I just bought some of those small side plates/bowls too. You don't need to cook Japanese food. Whatever you eat, make in these small portions makes my meal so much more satisfying. I can have 5-7 different dishes even when I'm living by myself.

To everyone wondering about the amount of food - it's not a lot. She had only two rolls of omlete, miso soup (which was basically daikon radish and chives), a small thing of tofu,, veggies, and a bowl of rice with nutto and sprouts. Everything healthy and light ("light" meaning - this food will not make you feel too full). She did not eat everything that she prepared.
It's "natto". And yes all that is true. I've been doing more of this. Today I made myself jajangmeyeon, miso soup, some pickled radish slices, and a side of kimchi. That was just today. I've been gearing my diet more towards healthy Asian foods and I have found my stomach bloating has gone way down, I have more energy, and I'm not hungry as often as I thought I would be. And if it is a bit later and I do get kind of hungry, I'll have a small bowl of miso soup instead of eating candy or even basically a second dinner.
Yes, you're right! And she eats small portions. Mostly vegetables. The only thing that can be considered heavy is the rice. But she ate just a small portion of it.
I think this is possible if we managed our expectations and time better. She didn't use time to blow dry her hair, she woke up early, took a quick shower. That alone gave her an extra hour. This is why Japanese people live so long. It's traditionally a mostly pesco-vegetarian diet. The primary protein is soy (natto / tofu), fish, and egg. And ofc lots of vegetables and green tea.
@@annaalmeidalima2910 no it doesn't!! Unless you drown it in dressing which is made mostly of carbohydrate ingredients!! Moderation and sensibility is key here!!
@@sawerakhan7430 if you eat a lot and don't combine with other more nutritious items to make up for the carb content then yes over time you will put on weight. And just by looking at her figure, she can't lose!
Healthy breakfast is the most important thing in the morning. It will last the whole day and you can do more work with good energy. Less make-up and more time to prepare a healthy breakfast before going to work. Simple lifestyle and more productive day.
I remember my breakfast being rice, natto, lots of spring onions, daikon, a sunny side up egg, and bamboo chutes i could never get tired of that breakfast combo but my stomach decided to not like natto anymore even though i personally enjoy them
This woman: gets up early, applies lipstick and prepares healthy and nutritious breakfast Average Japanese college student: wakes up at 2pm, spends next hour on social media, eats instant ramen and immediately falls asleep again
Almost 10 years here in japan most of them eating instant food and I think she’s a fitness instructor even the doctor’s and nurse here unhealthy living life
Curious: When the weather is rainy or just damp do you still hang your futon mattress on the railing outside? Or does it have another rail/rack under cover or inside?
I can make some pretty good guesses on the dishes. She made: miso soup with daikon and green onion, cucumber and fish cake "salad", natto with radish sprouts, tamago yaki(rolled egg omlet), tofu topped with wasabi and bonito flakes, rice and iced green tea.
There are daikon miso soup, rice, natto with cebette and herbs, fresh tofu, cucumber with sesame seeds some fish cake. The omelet is just made with some sugar and salt. The sauce are dashi for the miso soup, soy sauce and maybe the yuzu mix soy sauce. You find everything for a very cheap price in Japan
@@tarynmosakowski3512 that’s cool but IMO it looks good and I respect Japanese culture cause the “snot” you talking bout is natto a dish that has been eaten once by everyone in Japan
A healthy western version of this breakfast might be, a bowl of mixed fruit, followed by a bowl of steel-cut oats with raisins and walnuts, followed by.a bowl of steamed greens, onions and mushrooms, followed by a slice of toasted Ezekiel bread topped with bean sauce and raw veggies and a sprinkling of sauerkraut or kimchi on top. Have that with a cup of decaf or tea. I am describing my breakfast which is also my lunch. I combine the two. No way would I be able to have this as my first meal if I was working, but as a retired grandma, I have time to make this every morning. I do like the traditional Japanese meals, which contain a lot of vegetables and normally low in fat.
@@feifongwong4138 I am at my ideal weight. Remember, these are complex carbs, not the refined carbs people tend to get fat on. @@dinamariea61 The complex carbs and refined carbs thing is a myth. "Complex" carbs just means they are a mix of nutrients. But if you weren't exercising you would still experience the negative effects from them. Anyways, good to hear that you are.
Thank you for getting my ass to the kitchen - I did the dishes and then a an egg omelette with spinach and soup for dinner. Sat quietly and enjoyed my dinner! :)
Probably not nearly as much, honestly. Breakfast is supposed to be the biggest meal; most are just accustomed to eating the bigger meal for dinner, because we rush in the morning. Unless you meant what foods she eats at dinner 😆
not so much food those kinda of breakfast is for energy cause they work/study all day and without a good breakfast, they can't do all things they normaly do
Remember they work 12 hours a day in Japan, so maybe the meals throughout the day are smaller. I didn't see her bring a lunch kit, which is customary in Japan too, so maybe she forgoes lunch too or gets something light for lunch.
Rice, daikon, dashi pack, scallion, (red?) miso, cucumber, chikuwa (but could probably sub other fishcake, I can't read Japanese but it looks like rice vinegar and soy sauce in those bottles, kewpie mayo, black pepper, sesame seeds, eggs, I think that was dashi powder but could honestly be anything, some sort of microgreen, natto, silken tofu with wasabi and bonito. I hope that helped!
@@erinb4237 Pretty sure that was sugar she put in the egg. It looks nothing like dashi and clings together like a damp sugar would. They do sometimes put sugar in their eggs which I always thought odd. But what do I know.

Japanese breakfast is really light. I don’t like to eat breakfast because western breakfast (cereal, bread) makes me feel nauseous in the morning, but japanese breakfast is fine to me
Might take some time to get used to but a large breakfast is so much better than large dinner. You don't need so much food at night while you sleep, it actually makes most people sleep worse and gain weight because your body is trying to be inactive

Based on some other yt vides too, seems like in Japan groceries come in a lot more packaging than needed. Do shopping alternatives with less packaging exist?
A lot of the packaging is meant for single-serve or smaller portions- however, many plastics and containers are recyclable (more than what I’ve encountered in America, anyways). They have recycling bins placed throughout subways and there are recycling pickups throughout the month.

Gosh! How on the earth you derive so much of patience and enthusiasm to cook such lavish breakfast😳😳
Healthy breakfast is the most important thing in the morning. It will last the whole day and you can do more work with good energy. Less make-up and more time to prepare a healthy breakfast before going to work. Simple lifestyle and more productive day.
this is soo calming to watch unlike my hectic mornings
if Luis doesn't tell her everyday she's the most beautiful woman in the world, i'd gladly do it
Save that line for me
I remember my breakfast being rice, natto, lots of spring onions, daikon, a sunny side up egg, and bamboo chutes
i could never get tired of that breakfast combo
but my stomach decided to not like natto anymore even though i personally enjoy them

Curious: When the weather is rainy or just damp do you still hang your futon mattress on the railing outside? Or does it have another rail/rack under cover or inside?
I don't think everyone is able to hang them, but they can be folded up and stored at the side of the room with the pillows on top.
The level of discipline just amazes me! I am so inspired.
Love Japanese food 💕 it’s healthy and delicious 😋 we love to have sushi night at home once a week!
There's a bunch of ingredients I don't even recognise, I'd love to learn more about these recipes and the ingredients they use, they look delicious!

Cool breakfast. I just cant imagine cooking everyday something like this for my family of 6 members.
Wow I hope you walk like 10 miles after all those carbs otherwise I could imagine how bad your health is
@@feifongwong4138 I am at my ideal weight. Remember, these are complex carbs, not the refined carbs people tend to get fat on. And all this healthy carb gives me the energy to exercise and do what I need to do through out the day. I do not need to do that much walking as you describe but I normally hit 10,000 steps a day which is about an hour of walking.

If that’s the breakfast, what does she cook for dinner ?😀
Probably not nearly as much, honestly. Breakfast is supposed to be the biggest meal; most are just accustomed to eating the bigger meal for dinner, because we rush in the morning. Unless you meant what foods she eats at dinner 😆
not so much food
those kinda of breakfast is for energy cause they work/study all day and without a good breakfast, they can't do all things they normaly do
Remember they work 12 hours a day in Japan, so maybe the meals throughout the day are smaller. I didn't see her bring a lunch kit, which is customary in Japan too, so maybe she forgoes lunch too or gets something light for lunch.
Probably she cooks the same as what she did for breakfast or eats leftovers from it.
Do you eat the same breakfast daily or it varies? It looks so delicious! Thank you for sharing the recipe!

When you do the cooking part can you add some English ingredients of what you used
Rice, daikon, dashi pack, scallion, (red?) miso, cucumber, chikuwa (but could probably sub other fishcake, I can't read Japanese but it looks like rice vinegar and soy sauce in those bottles, kewpie mayo, black pepper, sesame seeds, eggs, I think that was dashi powder but could honestly be anything, some sort of microgreen, natto, silken tofu with wasabi and bonito.
I hope that helped!
@@erinb4237 Pretty sure that was sugar she put in the egg. It looks nothing like dashi and clings together like a damp sugar would. They do sometimes put sugar in their eggs which I always thought odd. But what do I know.

By the time she's done with her mourning routine it's time for lunch.
It looks quick and easy, but It's actually a LOT of work, including the cleaning afterwards
I would calculate that her cooking took about 1 hour and a half +showering and dressing up+ cleaning up. i think those are about three hours overall.
@@rabask9226 So in order to get to work on time (assuming they start work at 9am), she would need to wake up at least 3 hours in advance which is 6 a.m. To compensate for travel/commute time, lets just take a 30min average, so that's 5:30a.m
@@1101G12646 So their routine would be, work, gym, house cooking, sleeping. And a forever and ever loop.
@@rabask9226 3 hours? Never. Natto, tofu, fish cake is basically ready to serve. So miso soup 5 min, natto with sprouts 5 min, tofu 5 min, cutting cucumbers and fish cake 5 min, rice basically cooks itself during the time she cooks. So if you assume that it takes her 20 min to shower and get styled, 15 min to eat and 10 min for doing the dishes, I assume that it takes her ca 1,5 hour. If you do this every day, you'll get quite routined :)

I like Japanese cuisine
I wish I had more time in the mornings to prepare all this.
Just wondering how long it all takes?
amazing/but I could never eat that much for breakfeast
Japanese breakfast is really light. I don’t like to eat breakfast because western breakfast (cereal, bread) makes me feel nauseous in the morning, but japanese breakfast is fine to me
Might take some time to get used to but a large breakfast is so much better than large dinner. You don't need so much food at night while you sleep, it actually makes most people sleep worse and gain weight because your body is trying to be inactive
depends on what you had for dinner

Based on some other yt vides too, seems like in Japan groceries come in a lot more packaging than needed.
Do shopping alternatives with less packaging exist?
Just my thoughts
A lot of the packaging is meant for single-serve or smaller portions- however, many plastics and containers are recyclable (more than what I’ve encountered in America, anyways). They have recycling bins placed throughout subways and there are recycling pickups throughout the month.
