Nice scene. Jack and Ed had first worked together on Broadway in 1960, so there was history with these two.
Yeah, well that and him messing around inside Ed Asner's flies would breed a certain level of interpersonal familiarity I guess.
I like how they got all these mainstream actors to play these shadowy figures that were involved in the jfk assassination
Ed was washed up then and not getting calls. Jack just wasn’t turning anything down. No matter how big or small.
What do you mean?? Who killed our president??
We miss you Jack... There's one like you only once in a lifetime
Same with Ed, RIP to both
I thought at first (at 1:22), that he said, "I always like my files."
RIP Ed Asner
Been going through all my FILES
The Odd Couple origin series.
This is my favorite Oliver Stone movie though "The Doors" is a close second.
It is a great piece of fiction
@@salvagemonster3612absolutely! Great entertainment but absolute fiction
That'll teach you to go messing around inside Ed Asner's flies, he doesn't like people who play for the 'other' team 🤣🤣🤣
Pretty much how I'd imagine how a Lou Grant/Felix Unger altercation would play out...
Yep, that and the central issue of messing around inside someone's flies becoming a 'bone' of contention for want of a better word lol
He took offense to the ladle.
wikipedia: OPERATION NORTHWOODS
Carl Fredrickson lost his sanity after Ellie’s death.
If JB Gunner met life coach Eli lol😅
Alternative History / Alternative Casting: suppose that Ted Knight survived his illness, was still alive and was cast as Jack Martin rather than Jack Lemmon...
A little bit of Professor fate came out there lol
Nope- Guy Bannister had absolutely nothing to hide, all acting like that.
He didn't like other guys messing around inside his flies like most other heterosexual men, nothing more to it imho lol
I didn't think Jack needed money that bad
weastle
Just shows you how a film can fool you when it pretends to be factual. Despite what Oliver Stone says, there's no real evidence that Guy Banister even knew Oswald. Jack Martin (the Jack Lemmon character) told Jim Garrison that he saw Oswald in Banister's office in the Newman Building. But Jack Martin was not only a drunkard, but also a well-known pathological liar.
On the night of November 22, 1963, Jack Martin was pistol-whipped by Guy Banister -- because Banister discovered that Martin had been using the office phone to make long-distance calls (which were expensive back then) to his bookies in New York City. Banister never knew Oswald. It was all in Martin's head, made up after the fact. And Jim Garrison bought into it, and Oliver Stone repeated the lie!
Who was behind the assassination?
@@LordJagd Lee Harvey Oswald...and no one else. The forensics evidence proves it was him and him alone.
@@RSLindsay Just as a lone operator? He did call himself a patsy.
@@LordJagd doesn’t matter really. But Oliver used a lot of speculation and conjecture and a Hollywood pen for this film. Garrison was thoroughly disproven on so many live tv shows back in the 60’s through the 70’s. Look them up.
544 Camp St. Was stamped on the leaflets Oswald was distributing. The building was the same although Banister had his address on Lafayette st. just around the corner. Of course he knew Oswald.
Love Jack Lemmon. He was a lib but I love em
That's big of you, con man!
@@tilesetter1953 settle down groomer.
Jack lemon is a terrible actor. Part of the Hollywood machine pumping bad acting folks on everyone. Ed asner totally outclasses him in this scene!
What?!? No way. There was a reason Jack continued to work until the day he died. Ed was lucky to get this bit part. He scraped for work. He got the part because he was a card carrying leftist
Seems like Jack didn’t sign your autograph book
