How does copper affect the temperature of the dwelling? Cold winters, hot summers?

but is it better than stainless steel? Let's say the expensive 316? It is very expensive compare to other metal roofs, but still less than copper. Is it because copper is better, or copper is simply expensive itself.

Stainless is great for box gutters and flashing.
