What do y'all actually think about the removal of the dislike button?? I've heard mixed reviews
They should just keep it.
I personally think that they shouldn’t remove it. The likes and dislike buttons are for people to express how they feel about a video and I just don’t see any reason to remove it.
I think it's good coz then many content creators won't be discouraged ryt!!??

if a video is clearly made to/for hatred, trolling or racist etcc there should always be a dislike button.
The irony is that even bad publicity is still publicity.
It's actually true in this case; the dislike button doesn't affect creators negatively, it's seen as interaction by the algorithm... and interaction feeds the algorithm

In the eyes of the algorithm that calculates the video's RPM (rate per mille) the like button and the dislike button are seen as one and the same.
What really affects RPM is watch time duration; what is the average time the viewers watch the video for.
In this case, removing the dislike button will only affect bad tutorial/walkthrough videos that don't deserve revenue in the first place since the dislike ratio told you that it wasn't a good video.
Let's be honest UA-cam removed it because they HATED being the most disliked channel of all

Make it so dislikes are visible on videos uploaded by brand channels.
Or make it so you have to provide a reason for the dislike, like if it’s clickbait. If a video’s like-to-dislike ratio exceeds a certain ratio (and over 60% of the dislikes are for the same reason) & has more than 10,000 views, the video gets flagged. There would be a review system to determine if the video deserves the dislike (determining if a video is actually clickbait).
