Thanks for sharing the tips and info! Spring fishing is just around the corner for us in the midwest USA. Looking forward to getting out after all the ice is gone.
BTW Loran, when you get the opportunity, please send me some shots of your fishing rig showing the sounder covers in action on the water thanks! I'd love to see these in action in other countries.
Hi Matteo, Brisbane, but I fish north and south coasts as well. Some of my earliest fishing memories were hanging out with my older brother while he and mates fished off the rocks at Burleigh Heads. Tailor and snapper were their targets back then ealry 70's. Good luck if you do!
Great video love the content, just starting out jetski fishing buying gear as I go, looking at slow jig rod to use with my saltiga 40h overhead reel, question I have is are these rods versatile enough to be used for some bottom bashing with baits as well? Thanks
Hi Pavlo, thanks for watching. I often use my jig rod with baits when fishing for snapper as the overhead reel is great for float-lining. You can keep your thumb on the spool while wafting the bait down and quickly engage the reel if a fish strikes. Jig rod have a nice flexible soft tip to take the big hits, plus plenty of backbone if you get a decent fish on. I’d say just try it and see how you go!
Hi Paul, Really enjoyed your video Looking at buying the same set up. Is that the 1500 HG or PG I Can only see a Slow elements in a PE 2 or 3 not 2-3PE Looks like an awesome setup! Thanks
Thanks Mark. The Ocea Jigger is the 1500HG and the rod Oceans Legacy Elementus Slow jig Spiral Wrap PE2 . Braid was actually Avani 10x10 pE1.5 but 2 is also good on the reel.
These fishing gear and tackle videos are GOLD

@@Jetcast Thanks Paul, much appreciated! 😊
@@Jetcast Hey Paul, could you check the model please? ELSJ-B62ML or ESSJ-B631ML
Thank you so much
I’m away currently but pretty sure it’s the b62ML
What model is the SHIMANO JEWEL 8ft?
Hi, it’s a 802TW (Topwater) I think it’s been replaced now with a new model called 21JL822TW5. Similar specs: pe3-5, 8’2 spin. Thanks for watching.
@Jetcast what braid do you recommend for that setup?
First comment ❤love the videos 🎉
Thank you very much Jamie!
I need to stop watching these types of videos as sometimes it glitches and I lose $600-1000 and gain a new rod
Hehe it’s like that sometimes!
