  • Scuba diving in the cold waters of Howe Sound, located off Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada is an absolute adventure!
    The Ocean Quest Dive Centre Staff takes the day off for a day of fun boat diving at two of their favourite sites off of Bowen and Bowyer Island in Howe Sound with local charter boat operator, Captain Marc Palay of New World Diving.
    Ocean Quest Dive Team in store staff includes Fabiola, Bryce, Phil, Alex, Deirdre, Greg and Caitlin.
    British Columbia is a world renowned location for scuba diving with an incredible diversity of marine life with sea creatures of every colour!
    Divers encounter large wolf eels, giant Puget Sound King Crabs, Rockfish, octopus, brilliantly coloured invertebrates encrusted along deep walls & reefs, glass sponge gardens with schools of thousands of Perch hovering above gardens of anemones in clear waters.
    Ocean Quest Dive Centre is a PADI Five Star Career Development Centre located in Greater Vancouver and is owned and operated by Greg & Deirdre McCracken since 1997.

    Fun video, we used to go salmon fishing in Howe Sound while living near Vancouver. Good shots of Wolf Eels and Box Crab😊

      We were diving off of Bowyer Island & Bowen Island:) Glad you enjoyed the video!! These two dive spots always are beautiful - SO MANY fish at Bowyer and the variety of invertebrate life doesn’t disappoint!!!

    at around 8:00 minutes into the video how deep was it there?

      We are at around 50 ft / 15 m. It’s on top of the reef at a dive site called “Canyons”.

    HInt: NEVER giggle or even smile when the camera is on you. The camera should capture you, not make you do things. The second the camera causes a reaction the moment is ruined. There's a reason actors never look into the camera. Because it destroys the mood making the camera obvious and awkward. So respect that and your videos will shine. You've got really good footage here. Its worth showcasing it well.
    What would be great is to be able to know the depth the camera is at all the time. Not sure if any camera has a built in depth gauge whose info can be transferred to the video but it would be a cool feature. Also knowing the water temperature at that depth would be great too.
