Big onion- 1 nos ( Medium) + 1 nos
Salt( according to taste )
Maida- 3/4 Cup
Cornflour - 1/4 Cup
ginger paste- 1 tsp + 2 tsp
Garlic paste- 1 tsp + 2 tsp
Kashmiri chilli powder- 1 tsp (Heaped ) + 1 tbs
Coriander Powder- 3/4 tsp + 3/4 tbs
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp + 1/4 tsp
Garam Masala powder - 1/2 tsp + 1/2 tbs
Kashmiri chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
Refined oil( For fry)
green chilli- 2 nos
TOMATO - 2 nos (puree)
Tomato Sauce- 1 - 1/2 tbs
Sugar- 1/2 tsp
Water- 1 Cup
Cornflour- 1 tbs
Curry Leaves
Coriander leaves

കോയമ്പത്തൂർ താമസിക്കുമ്പോൾ ധാരാളം കഴിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് 10രൂപക്ക് വാങ്ങിയാൽ രണ്ടാൾക്ക് കഴിക്കാൻ പറ്റുമായിരുന്നു മാം ഇതു കഴിക്കുന്നത് കാണുമ്പോൾ രുചിയും മണവും അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്ന feel❤❤
പണ്ട് ചെന്നൈ ജോലി ചെയ്തിരുന്ന സമയത്തു ഞാൻ എന്നും ജോലി കഴിഞ്ഞു വരുമ്പോൾ കഴിക്കുമായിരുന്നു .ഓഫീസിനു മുൻപിൽ തന്നെ ഒരു ചേട്ടൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കി വിൽക്കുമായിരുന്നു 30 രൂപയോ മറ്റോ ആയിരുന്നു വില .. .വീട്ടിൽ ഉണ്ടാക്കാൻ അറിയില്ലായിരുന്നു ..ഇനി ഉണ്ടാക്കാം ..നല്ല ടേസ്റ്റ് ആണ് ..നാട്ടിൽ settle ആയ ശേഷം ഒരുപാട് മിസ് ചെയ്തു ഈ വിഭവം ..thanks ലക്ഷ്മി ചേച്ചി .🎉🎉

Thank you mam for the recipe. A must awaited thing. It's a famous street food in coimbatore. Searched in youtube for this many times before but didn't get. And one more suggestion in small shops along with onion and Coriander leaves , that Pani puri's puri will be crushed and add as a topping for crunchiness. Will definitely going to try.....

Lekshmi hi. I am settled in Chennai. The Tamil word for mushroom is KALAN . I I have not tasted this savory. Will definitely try it. Maybe the dish is called mushroom Kalan to help ousiders to recognise the main ingredient of this dish😊

Actually kaalan is the Tamil name for mushroom . But yes road side shops sell kaalan & even in unduvandi there is ( like kappalandi) . I am not a fan but kids at home in Coimbatore are crazy about this 😀 Chechi WHY don’t you install a HOME LIFT at home for going up & down ?
