Don't watch the video and you will never know sync was used. The whole community needs to stop thinking in black or white and let DJ's do what they do. I use sync, it allows me to mix better as it allows me to focus on other things. The CDJs have a built in phase meter, if all of your song are on the beat grid, (which most dj's do when importing through rekordbox) you can beat match using the phase meter on the top of the screen. Also that sync button is a also a selection for instant doubles, which is a really nice technique to do instead of over using pionners effects

The sync tool is no different than these other tools as well. If you're hating on it so much, just go back and mix on your vinyls, why even use CDJs or even a mixer full of electrically generated digital effects. +John van der Linden beatmatching isn't always needed, like if you mix an acapella over a track or when you do a beatdrop. But I think experienced DJ's should be able to drop a track on the beat with the slightest beat delay and correct it perfect within a second. Further anybody can be creative with mixing, it's just a point how much you're willing to practice and prepare your set. I think that the real creativity can only be shown when you're mixing live. Still than a great part is perpared work like your playlists.
He's not even using that many effects tho. GO look at other dj's like rafik or craze or hip hop dj's in general. they know how to use a MIXER at its full potential with loops and finger drumming and scratching and samples. this taught me nothing. He's horrible and this was a waste of time.

why not using digital audio connection between mixer and decks? Do you hear no difference in sound quality between RCA and digital?

crosfader doesn´t matter because channels 2 and 3 are setted to "thru" so they aren´t using crosfader
