Yes it does save the arm . It's a MorseMetal Devil chop saw with metal cutting blade.

I don’t “love” using a chop saw to make cuts but I’ve definitely done it in my career without any issues. Where’s your helper at? Wouldn’t have to fuss with the pipe stand then lol😂
