    While there are MANY sleeping arrangements for the jeep, they are ALL nearly touching the roof for some UNKNOWN reason (storage) THis arrangements VERY LOW is SUPER for me as i like to feel space around my head not a tight coffin:) Excellent layout:)

    Nice and simple. Great idea, I'm looking to do something like that but give space to my two shepherds, and protect it why also. Having storage.

    I'm going to do something like this, but just the 60% side. I'm going to make a cutout and extend it all the way to back of front passenger seat. Thanks for the video.

    Nice! This is what I was looking for. I had the idea but didn’t quite know how it will turn out.

    Dammit, somebody did it first. I was thinking of this very thing. Glad to see it work out!

    Nice simple setup. Have been trying to figure out a way to do a similar build in a 2-door JK with the rear seat removed, but problem is that front passenger seat does not fold down flat, so that leg room is limited to 5.5 feet. This limits me to sleeping in fetal position only and not stretching out. Only other option would be to remove the front passenger seat and extend the platform all the way to the front. Not sure I want to remove the front seat. Thanks for your video. Gives me something to think about.

    Can you shoot some quick dimensions up here? I keep getting different numbers when I measure. Looks great! I also, just need the 60% side for sleeping, but would like to have the platform in the back. Thanks in advance.

    This is an awesome idea and way cheaper than Goose Gear. Perfect setup for my dog and I while still keeping the rear seats for the long drives to the mountains that my dog loves to sit up looking out the window. How much weight do you think it added??

    • @jerrykrautenstaben6584
      @jerrykrautenstaben6584  5 років тому

      Not Sure. The weight of one sheet of plywood and four feet of 2x4 stud. Probably 30 lbs total.

      @jerrykrautenstaben6584  6 років тому +2

      Thanks, the rims are from Summit Racing, abt $90 each when I bought them. They came primered, I painted them myself. I was going for the old school look when I bought them. The tires are duratracks 315 size, and are 34.5 in tall, the rims are 16 inch.

    Can you share with me info in your compressor?

    • @jerrykrautenstaben6584
      @jerrykrautenstaben6584  3 роки тому

      Hi, the compressor is a "Slime" brand. I like it and it has worked well. This one is a duel compressor. It cost about $100 when I bought it.
      Here is the link for the compressor, I bought it at local Auto Parts Store.

    Nice ... what did you use for a hinge?

    • @jerrykrautenstaben6584
      @jerrykrautenstaben6584  6 років тому

      Gary Gomer--- just a regular hinge pack from Lowes. I think they were 1 1/2 in hinges. Came two to a pack.

    now if you also push driver seat all the way forward you can put a bucket type port a potti and sit on it like a real toilet and do your business. Of course your jeep could end up smelling like shit
