Review was well done! I have the S23 (standard 6.1"), my wife has the S23 FE. I get that some are "bezel obsessed" but to us it's no issue, we're looking at what is on the screen, not the bezels). When I'm using my wife's S23 FE, aside of the size difference, in day-to-day usage it performs almost exactly like my S23. Quibbles? I do wish the fingerprint sensor was located higher on the FE as it is on the S23, just a more natural position to hit it with my thumb while holding the phone, and the glossy back is a fingerprint magnet (But we case all our phones anyway). Aside from nit-picking, the S23 FE is one fine phone.

I moved up from a Galaxy J7 to this S23 SE today. OK, if you're "phone obsessed" this doesn't reach flagship expectations, but I sure do find a fresh screen at 120 hz pleasant to view after using and old scuffed-up phone. If this phone has Touchwiz, I'm not noticing it. The response to touch is very fast. Got mine on a Verizon renewal, paid $280 (adding a charger and sales tax). Really came out about the same as what I paid for the old phone in 2017. I'm content.
this is basically A54, with better chip and cameras, but smaller battery... both are great phones and i like that they made them identical and are almost very close to specifications so people can choose if they want the longer battery and overall a good phone, or they want to level up and get the better cameras and chip cuz they are... fans. Now i believe, Samsung is a winner. edit: so i wrote this a couple of months ago as my first impressions, yall have a point under my comment but dont be like: "this is not A54, you dont know anything", yeah i have eyes and i can see its not 💀 they just look the same from the outside...
With this phone I should have waited since I got my A54 like 4 months ago I see some features that my A54 doesn't have I don't really care about no SD card slot but is what it is now
Initially I went with the best. The ultra long story short I traveled left my phone at relatives house dilemma is relative now traveled to where im at about 1600 miles away lol for 2 weeks so i was goingbto be with out a phone for 2 weeks until theybgot home and mailed it. I purchased the s23 fe and man oh man my suprise for my day to day usage honestly I could go with out the ultra thats howbgreat it is. My only complaint would be. The screen cant compare with ultra screen as far as how much better the screen is but if youbare gonna buy save some money and get the s23fe 😊
It looks like it may be an option for my wife, I have the S23Ultra for the camera ( basically a camera I can also use for the internet or to talk to someone ) whereas my wife uses her phone to do some medium gaming and normal pictures ( not like closeups of the moon or full zoom into the planets ) the only question is the memory, doung away with the SD card was a mistake and then to limit the FE with 256....Ill wait to see what the holidays deals look like.
@bobbear4437 we decided we decided to go another route. Deals weren't great and she wanted a larger phone since she plays some games and watches videos.
I have already use this phone for 4 month and i love it so much, the camera and video are so great, and now one ui 6.1 is very smooth also Galaxy AI so usefull for me.
They had a sale on all Samsung phones. I was planning on the S23 but at those prices I couldn't pass up the Ultra. If your Google Fi customer you'll get notified of sales by email.
This was just on sale for only $400 US for Black Friday! Crazy deal for this phone. My girlfriend got an iphone SE for $400 US just a couple of years ago and already wants to replace it due to its dated design. $400 for this phone is such an amazingly better deal. Just got this phone as an upgrade to my A51 for $650 Canadian (still a great deal) and its been amazing. Massive upgrade in every way. I plan on keeping this thing for the next 5 years, as the updates promise, if it works out.
The pros outweighs the cons and you forgot to mention it doesn't have a headphone jack and no adapter for the phone but I can deal with that I love the camera it's all about the camera I love taking night pictures but I couldn't do that with the phones I used to have but I can't wait to get that phone
As of 12/26 is still $600. I'm trying to figure out when the s24 launches going for a rebate? Comcast offers $400 rebate for transferring over from t mobile. That's $200 cheaper than the s23 currently still at $800
Heres what i don't understand since this is a Fan addition of the flagship why don't they make one with a S pen 🖊️ thats what most are fans of its just weird at this point. But i do think its a adorable little phone perfect size.
Will this be good for my dad? He liked the bigger display of this compared to S23. I am getting this in India for $500 and S23 for $620. His main use is games like candy crush and UA-cam. I just heard reviews about FE getting heated up with some gaming but saves around $120 so is it worth the saving?
Looking for a new phone and this looks great for me. I have a Note 9 from 2018 which has been dropped quite a few times so that qwerty board is in the background for pics, etc. I wish they included the headset with speakers as I do occasionally listen to YT while I'm cooking or driving. Does anyone have a suggestion for wireless earbuds other than Samsung. Money is pretty tight and I haven't pulled the plug yet for a new phone.
I'm a note guy, but refuse to pay the today prices. I had the s23 for a week and could not get used to the 6.1 display. So I returned it for the s23fe. I am happy with it. Best of all I am a best buy plus member so when the price for the phone drops, I can exchange it for that cheaper price😊
@lesterandino2807 Thank you for the response. I purchased the S23 FE and I'm really happy with it. I was also able to get the earbuds. Best affordable phone.
Good day. I just got an S23 FE but I noticed that the battery takes long (more than 1hr) to charge. Also, the battery runs down very fast. I am worried 😢
That's probably because of the processor they put in it. In the US it's the same one they had in the s23 and those phones also had terrible battery life
Definitely get the 25watt samsung fast charger and make sure it says super fast charging when plugged in. It should take about an hour to charge from around 20%.
Simple question. What can one do that the other can't. Buy cheap, get cheap. As said by a person who's currently happily using a three years old phone .
Last year's processors including the terrible Exynos 2200 💀💀💀, cameras on the level of A54 and those bezels... I'd say wait for a good sale for the regular S23 and ignore this one.
it's not true, let's start with the first complaint, exynos 2200 present in the s23 fe is different from the one in the s22 series, it is more powerful, it has no overheating problems and consumes less, now let's move on to the second point even the s21 fe is better than the a54 in the photos and video what made you think that it is on the level of a54 at least here you could get there on your own
"The only drawback that I have found with the S23FE is its big bezels and chin. Even though it comes under the Samsung flagship S series, why have they given it such thick bezels? It really denies its flagship appeal."
Using 23fe for a two weeks. My experience is mixed. Not much worth update from 20fe. New phone is heavier, thicker, wider. Absence of SD card not bid issue with 256gb , and cloud storage. Screen MUCH better, battery not so. But my biggest disappointment is EXTREMLY SLOW WIRELESS CHARGING. I am using only original equipment. For fast wired charging needs new 25W charger( separate purchase)Fingerprint sensor impossible to set up with Screen protector. Not so good quality 3x zoom. Awkward set up with Samsung back up service. But if you go now on Samsung website you can get for your old 20FE $400 CAN. This is great deal.
The design looks chunkier and less sophisticated than both the S20s and S21s FE. I'm on the S20 FE ans should I upgrade, I'll go for the S21 FE instead
My take is: Bulky, heavy, especially this nonsensical rear glass panel adds weight, ugly plastic bezel. I have to admit, I am a lightweight user of the cellphones: Mostly text and navigation, but also some HEIF photography, so some of the advanced features might go unnoticed to me. My present phone, the A71 was to me superior in every aspect. Slim, light, beautiful casing. The phone stopped charging except when rebooted, what I see as a software problem, which Samsung refuses to fix, and so I ended up with this heavy 'S32FE brick.'
Con: no headphone jack Con: no homescreen looping Con: no FM Radio Con: they want us to make an account which most likely means they want to collect our data. Xiaomi family of phones does the same thing.
Don't buy. The Exynos chipset is one of the worst in power inefficiency. I'm using the S21fe Exynos 2100 & battery life sucks. Normal usage required to charge 2 - 3 daily.. S23fe Exynos 2200 should be more or less the same
Such a over priced phone ,look at its bezels ..so thick..screen looks ugly indeed.Samsung S series are the only ones worth buying. Not these fan editions priced at 64 but offering only 25k looks.
@elpolloloco9657 Right but they still buying iphones with no problems, with big bezels in 2024 and huge eyebrow and now they have part screen size island, atleast s23 fe with a small camera and good disign.
Anyone who used the s22 series knows the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 had horrible standby and screen on time . I feel like this is just Samsung just trying to dump that chip and to get rid of them . This should have come with a gen 2 . It’s just a s22 ultra in a different shell
The Galaxy S23 FE is a joke. You are better off buying an S23 instead. I also find it funny how you compared the S23 FE to the OnePlus Open on X (Twitter). The lack of wireless charging and the phone being only splash resistant is a bit disappointing, but at $1,700, you are getting 80W fast charging, Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor, 512 GB of storage, 16 GB of RAM, IR blaster, stylus support, and better cameras. In addition, you get the charger and case in the box.
Honestly you can't compare the more expensive version to the budget version. It's a budget version for a reason and most people aren't willing to spend $1,700 on a phone.

More like affordable and updated Galaxy S22.
Much like the a54 5g.
I'll keep my s21+
Still not better than the S22 ultra.
Of course it's not because that's a flagship phone 🤣
bezels are ok but they have to be symmetrical for me to use it
Such a over priced phone ,look at its bezels ..so thick..screen looks ugly indeed.Samsung S series are the only ones worth buying. Not these fan editions priced at 64 but offering only 25k looks.
@elpolloloco9657 Right but they still buying iphones with no problems, with big bezels in 2024 and huge eyebrow and now they have part screen size island, atleast s23 fe with a small camera and good disign.
couldve at least said u were indian in the title.
Too much bezels
Samsung turning into an IPHONE company. Lol
It's identical like A54
Incorrect, it's very different. It might look similar. The S23 also looks like the A54.
wot car is that...looks like modern supra lolz
its 400 dollars
Anyone who used the s22 series knows the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 had horrible standby and screen on time . I feel like this is just Samsung just trying to dump that chip and to get rid of them . This should have come with a gen 2 . It’s just a s22 ultra in a different shell
Except it has been highly optomized and the battery is much better than the s22 series
Those beeels and a 2yo chip for 600$ ?😂😂😂😂😂😂
The Galaxy S23 FE is a joke.
@@BloodyRosesxIf that’s the case, than Saki should not have compared it in the first place.
Superbe téléphone ☎️
This or the Pixel 8?
this one, withoud doubt
The Bezels are a dealbreaker.
