You all have and are making great progress in a very short time span.

You can get frosted window film which would make your window non-see-through but still let the light in - or you get blinds which are semi-see through from inside but not out. Hope you find a solution for that one! Love seeing the house renovation!

We have a Venetian blind on our window. You can keep it fully closed. Open the slats up or pull the blind up completely.

You could put frosted window plastic covering over your widow, so it acts like a bathroom window allows the light in but blurs the outside vision.

Net curtains will give you decent privacy and for that small window at the top of the stairs, as well as a small net curtain, a stained and frosted glass effect paint or sticker would diffuse what can be seen by your neighbour.

Paint the fence before the plants grow. Keep the grass well watered until it is established.

It’s not an outside oven. Place your charcoal bbq inside and the chimney will draw the smoke 👍

I know it's late but, the plant in the garden you didn't know, it's what my mother called "pinks", similar to a small carnation.

Hiya. No hand rail on the stairs?
Re your little 'Flasher' window, if not a net/voile curtain cut to size from, say, The Range, maybe a Schottis Pleated Blind from Ikea that you cut to size and fit yourself?
The garden privacy thing and adding modesty screens, better check the local council first for the max height regulations. Most are 6 feet, though a few go to 7. Obviously, a tree is different and better and grows taller! Stay safe. All the best to you.

Do not plant ivy in the garden, it will totally take over and you will never get rid of it.
You need a couple of metal shelves, like you have in your oven for the garden BBQ. Then make a fire underneath with the BBQ coals.

Mrs Yvette, you look so much better without makeup. 👍 Just an observation. Cheers!

For that fence you could run a trellis along the top and plant some Jasmine, Clematis or even Passion Flowers to screen. Also you need to really water that turf and the borders need some bags of compost, avoid peat, not very eco. Just a thought.

I love that oven outside and you should have kept the fish pond.

House renovations are fun, for your window you can get window film that comes in various patterns and colours and is easy to install, good luck.

Thanks for the tour Yvette, I can sense your excitement and enthusiasm as your new home starts to take shape, I use something called a multi tool for removing grout and it is so much quicker, I got mine from Amazon UK . No prayers required.

Looks like you've accomplished a lot. My husband and I have gone through a lot of renos in our old house -- we hire good tradespeople and have been lucky. Always more to be done though. Good luck. Looking forward to see more.

So sorry you have to live in London. I suppose someone has to but when you want to improve your life you could move to Yorkshire.

One way filter for the window would be an idea to stop them watching

Grab yourselves a nice wide brick bolster from B&Q; it'll make short work of removing those tiles! (Oh and you're going to get mighty pissed using that small hammer; get yourselves a lump-hammer!)

For the window you will probably want a voile/net curtain.

Make sure that the Professional's you use are professional and not cowboys, there are a lot out there. Ask your local Council's housing department who they would recommend, the ones they use to maintain and refurbish their housing stock. They will not take your money and run for the hills before completing the job.
