Telling stories is at the heart of Snow White Blood's music. And the story continues. After an era has come to an end, it is now time to open a new chapter.
Much of the tried and tested remains, but it will be recognisably different.
The band's new line-up now consists of five musicians - for the first time, two guitarists provide a much more massive sound and more complex yet catchy arrangements. But probably the most striking change is the new front woman Sarah.
With Sarah, Snow White Blood have a new face and a voice that brings a huge spectrum of timbres and vocal ranges.
Let's look forward to this new chapter with Snow White Blood.

Im glad snow white blood is still together, will forever miss Ulli. I had a hard time catching what was being said even with the lyric sheet but its actually pretty cool. Im eager to hear more ❤

I was drawn in and utterly hypnotised by the first few seconds. After reading the lyrics properly, I feel like crying. I have so many friends who have struggled with addiction. Family. Myself. I have lost friends.

Cuando SWB anunció que se separarían me sentí pésimo, cuando anunciaron su regreso sin Ulli no sabía que decir; y hoy puedo decir que Sarah es simplemente FABULOSA, su capacidad vocal e interpretativa son increíbles. Sarah gracias por llevar a SnowWhite Blood en una nueva dirección, que cada día sorprende más, porque Nevermore, es sin dudas una de las mejores canciones de la historia de la banda. That song is good. I like it undoubtedly but this band changed so much. Not only the members (Almost everyone) but also the style. It's different from previous albums. The former songs sound more fabulously and charmingly. But this is only my opinion. I am happy that SWB is still composing and recording and I wish I got use to the new sound of band. After having split up in 2023, we decided to come back with a new line-up - as we think, that the SWB story was not meant to end. Best wishes and we love to hear, that you still like our previous albums - but we would be also grateful if you liked our new music as well! .-)

Ok, I found something on Creepypasta about this called "And She Danced".
The only difference is here, the mother gives her daughter the cursed slippers.

I'm grateful that SWB is back, but I'm still trying to get used to the new sound. I miss the stories, the lyrics, the fabulous instrumentals, the perfect vocals of Ulli. Don't take me wrong, Sarah is ok, but her singing style can be found in too many bands. Ulli had that unique style and voice. Personally, I don't like soprano-like vocals mixed with that "power metal growl". I am really really happy that this band is still alive, but I hope I will get used to your new sound some day...
Well our concept still works with fairytales and the story behind it. 😉. The actual song is based on a fairytale of Hans Christian Andersen 👍. If you change the Lineup and a singer, there are always some changes. As there should be no comparison between the old and the new. But we are grateful if you followed us even with our new songs ❤️

It's a very standard Gothic/Symphonic Metal number, but very well done. The production, arrangements, musicianship and particularly the vocals make it a great listening experience, but it hasn't got enough about it to make it memorable. My Score: Good 3*

I'm always wary when a band changes vocalists, because so often the vocals were the thing I loved most about the band.
Sometimes I'm on board right away (Tarja to Anette for Nightwish)
Sometimes I drop the band completely (Leaves Eyes without Liv Kristine)
Sometimes I take a while to warm up, and may favor the old but still enjoy the new (Roy to Tommy in Kamelot)
I'm thinking this is gonna be another of the third. The vocal elements I love are still there, I just need to get used to the changes.

Ich liebe eure Musik, auch, dass es immer um Märchen und Sagen geht und freue mich, dass es weiter geht mit SWB! Sehr sympathische Band 😊
Nachdem ich erst 2023 "Snow white blood" für mich entdeckt hatte, dann gleich die Botschaft der Bandauflösung verkraften musste, finde ich es umso besser, dass es jetzt doch weitergeht :-)
Die Kritik an Sarah teile ich nicht. Eine Erwartung, dass bei Wechsel einer Sängerin alles exakt so klingt wie vorher, ist wohl unerfüllbar. Jede Stimme ist anders und jeder bringt seinen eigenen Stil ein. Ein neues Stilelement das ich an Sarah mag, sind die aus dem Gaumen "herausgerotzen" kraftvollen Töne (02:06"), die auch in "The Loss of Innocence" schon auftauchten. Ich durfte die Band Anfang Februar live erleben, da hat Sarah auch das wahrlich nicht einfach zu singende Sheherazade gemeistert... (leider war der ganze Abend in einer Lautstärke, die nahe an der Körperverletzung lag, so dass ich es nicht wirklich genießen konnte).
Nevermore finde ich durchaus gelungen, schnell, bombastisch arrangiert, Tempo wird auch mal variiert und im Klangteppich sind auch immer diverse Variationen enthalten. Auch die Drums sind variantenreich und Sarah kann sich durchaus gegen die E-Gitarren behaupten.
Kommt für mich zwar nicht an das geniale "Rising of the sun" heran, kommt aber auf die Playlist :-)
Ob mit der neuen etwas gitarrenlastigen Besetzung auch Balladen funktionieren, muss sich noch zeigen...

For those knocking this band because of the new line up, possibly new style, I forget the other female singer's name, however, technically, she was kind of a band slut & jumped around to a bunch of different bands before moving on to yet another; - most are on UA-cam & csn be easily found.
She has a following, so, it seemed whatever band she entered became popular because of the fact she was there. ( Think of the transition when Floor Joined NightWish which originally was just supposed to be a "favor" to the band)
I don't know Susan's background, but she seems more than capable of hitting the type of notes the other woman never did, so, to me, she's up there in the ranks of someone like Floor & a few others.
The main problem was once the band got good, the other singer high tailed it into some other project & it was rinse, lather, repeat for this kind of action & most of the past bands fell by the way side because of this, never to recover & go forward.
I happen to really dig this song & now, understand some of the story behind it & it is a dark story at that. ( As a suggestion, look up the lyrics on Google, you'll see what I mean by a dark tale!)
Anyway, I say let the band grow on you before automatically passing judgement!!

Hi Chris :-) First of all! Thank you for your comment and for supporting us. This means a lot to us! Nevertheless we have to correct some things. Our former singer Ulli never behaved in the described way. In 2013 the early Snow White Blood was formed together with Ulli and the band developed to its actual standing in the course of the years. Ulli always was loyal and all the mentioned side-projects had been discussed in the band before having started. In 2023, the former line-up decided to split up - due to several reasons. The remaining band members decided after a short break, that Snow White Blood should go on. In a new way, a new style. With new members. All of these developments and incidents were realized in a friendly and peaceful way so that nobody should be harmed. From that start we are really glad to be the new Snow White Blood - having these fantastic new musicians Sarah and Marvin on board and we are really looking forward, what is up for us in the future. Finally we are really glad about all these positive statements about our new music and hope that you and all the other fans will keep on following us! All the best - Thomas from Snow White Blood

@@michaelwirth8652Ich bin ja auch noch dabei, und je öfters ich den Track höre, desto besser gefällt er mir. Ich verstehe auch, das Bands sich weiterentwickeln (müssen). Trotzdem: ich fühle nun mal was ich fühle. Ich habe auch getrauert als z.B. Tarja und Nightwish sich getrennt haben, und ja, auch als Anette ging - obwohl ich schon damals Floor-Fan war. Ich war richtig sauer als Delain zerbrochen ist - aber ich höre auch Delain mit Diana. Also wie geschrieben: mal sehen, was da noch kommt. Die alten Sachen sind ja nicht weg 🤘.
Edit: ich fand die frische Sicht auf die alten Märchen sehr interessant. Hoffe, da kommt auch noch mal was 😊.

Im not sure what to think tbh. The name of the band is the same but this is super far from what i enjoyed about Snow White Blood before.... musics like Lullaby for the Undead. Who are these people? I cant even recognise the members.... the music changed as well. Just feels very generic. Completely lost what Snow White Blood had so unique and different.... very sad.
Well the band is not completely new 😉. Max, Till and Thomas are still on board. After the old band split up in 2023, some of our members formed a new Snow White Blood. As the story was not meant to end. And we hope that you still be with us on our new paths. ❤️
@snowwhiteblood I won't stop listening to it, it's more the shock. When Tarja left nightwish I was a bit meh but now I can't imagine any other singer than Floor to be in their front. So I'm sure I'll come to like the new sound, it's just something to get used to .

great singer, good guitar sound, awful keyboards - you have a lot of potential, guys, please fire the keyboardist and hire an orchestra or someone who can play an orchestral instrument, or if you can't afford it, just do with the guitars and bass

Saddly Ulli is gone, but I think the new Singer will bring new ponential to the band overall.
