Well done young man. Enjoyed your run and commentary and congratulations on the PB. I started park running a year or so back and am down from 30 mins to 24 min 45 secs. Parkrun is brilliant. Looking to break 24 mins this year. Not bad as I'm pushing 73. I've subscribed and will follow your journey.
Hi Colin - I’m glad you liked the video. Yes Parkrun’s are amazing and they give you that extra boost I can’t recommend them enough. Congrats 🥳 on your PB that’s truly inspiring, I love people like yourself who continue to push the boundaries and not letting age be a barrier. Keep pushing and you will get the sub 24 . Steve who paced me is 67 and can do 19 mins on that course so be inspired to keep pushing- Lace up and empty the tank 👍🏻
I've found your channel 😁 Good luck for Retford. The vet runners are amazing. I spend half my time chasing my friend and clubmate Gail in training/races. She's 58, I'm 42. We have a few V60 and above who are still smashing out amazing times. They truly are inspirational.
Cheers Vicky 😊👍🏻 can’t wait for it , it’s my first half marathon race. There is some amazing vet runners about, they are so inspiring and next level and you are one of them. I think your on the video at the start maybe for the first km then I couldn’t keep up 😂. Hope to see you at another park run in the future 🏃♂️🏃♀️💨💨
Cheers Tom , you will get loads quicker going to Parkruns mate always somebody to hang on to. Get to some others races as well, I did Retford half marathon last week in 99 mins - well happy with that 🏃♂️💨💨💨
@@acrobaticorphan7766😂😂yes that’s long gone mate -might see you at a park run soon - Try Cusworth hall mate good workout that - Take care mate 🏃♂️💨💨💨💨
Thanks Dave - you should when your wanting a 5k PB attempt it’s brilliant course for that. Also I’ve heard York and Hull are good for PB attempts aswell not tried them yet but I will. Hope your back to full fitness soon 👍🏻
Great run... you were 10 mins almost exactly at the half way cone... you'll get below the 20 mins for sure! Shout out to Steve - what can you do but tip your hat to him🙂
Thanks Keith👍🏻 - demons got me at about 3.5km, this is when I hung onto Steve. Top bloke I wouldn’t of got that time without him. I messaged him on Strava recently and he said when I’m ready to go sub 20 he’ll pace me😊 He is an amazing athlete and a really nice guy, I’ll take him up on it in a couple of weeks.
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up, it knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're the lion or a gazelle-when the sun comes up, you'd better be running.
