Hi what could I do I am in this exact problem I removed the element but the 2 wires with spade connectors fell in the back and I had to remove the back to retrieve them but now I don't know which way round they go. What should I do any help appreciated.
If there are only two wires and there is continuity between the two terminals I don't believe it matters which way round you connect them, just base it on the length of the wires. If there are more than two wires then it will matter. I am not a trained electrician, this is just my opinion. Hope you get it working.
@@jwarburton Hi i have checked the old element for continuity and nothing at all so that establishes the element was at fault also it was tripping the main board and not heating up at all. there are only 2 wires both grey but one is slightly shorter. I believe the main housing when the element is screwed in creates the earth. Thanks for yourt advice i just needed clarification because when the wires fell at the back i guess i mixed them up pushing them back through so wasnt very sure.
