Hey partner, as usual your video was on spot. Yours is one of very few places I can go to learn something valuable, while also finding encouragement to look even harder; It's the biggest part of what keeps me coming back. Hell, I think I'm becoming one of your biggest fans. Anyhooo, I've spent the last eight months going over bank roll after bank roll, and to date I actually have over four hundered (400) coins, mostly penny's that are DDO, DDR, ERRORS, RPM'S, VARIETIES, you name it, and I got it, coming out my ears, and part of that was from listening to the videos on line, and learning just how exciting coin collecting can be. In any event, I wanted to say thanks again for all the help and info, I do believe it's earned me in excess of, oh, forty thousand dollars or so ($40,000) in the coins I've collected thus far. Need I say how appreciative I am all you educators are on line. Yeah, thanks for being part of that. I absolutely could not have done this myself having known so little at the beginning. Now all I need to do is learn how to get them from my desk, to the auction house for sales. And your right when you say, Only in America! Oh how I love this place; my place of birth. I'll keep you posted... Take care now!
My in-law just gave me a container full of about 25lbs of pennies. I have always picked up wheats when I saw them and decided to find out what other valuable dates and types were out there. I knew that pre 82 was not zink and that was about it. I found your videos to be the most informative of any other on UA-cam and I really appreciate not only the detail of your video but the links for other information regarding coin value and coins of interest. The hardest part for beginners is to know what to look for and you really gave me a jump start when it comes to cent pieces and a bit of interesting information on other types of collecting. Just wanted to say thanks, you have made it easy for me to become obsessed with Pennies! Bobby
Thank me?? Shaun, I want to thank you!! Dude, you are literally one of the very few on this platform that actually have proper, detailed, interesting information to provide on any one coin. You are a beast, keep doing exactly what ya are! 🤜✴️🤛
I ran through 50 bucks worth of cents this past month. One find was a 1972 Doubled Die Obv in XF. FS-01-1972-103 in the Cherrypickers Guide, CONECA DDO-003. The Guide offers $9 as a value for a specimen in AU, so this may be only a couple bucks, but I have the evidence to say for a fact: There's Stuff Out There!
Hello, I just watched your video, after video I finde 2 coins AM very close together 1994 D $ 1998D,so what to do:)please contact me kkhachkar@gmail.com, thank you.
I found over 300 wheat cents in a $25 box of pennies recently. A collection was dumped. Typically I only find about 6 wheats in a box. I have purchased a 30-60 x magnifier to help me find RPM and errors. Happy Hunting!
Wow 10 years now you’re rich thank you for all your knowledge big blue Victor love coins over here Massachusetts 10 years have been following your channel help me out you won’t be disappointed thank you
That is a close AM. In the word America, but I was reading on a coin collector's blog that the initials on the reverse lower right beside the steps have to be "farther" away from the steps to be a true Close AM. Or close to the steps on a wide AM.
I'm going to have to join because this collection of coins that I have had for over 60 years gave me a 1944 and as soon as you mentioned the 1992 close am I picked one up. I got about 30,000 pennies from my father who was in World War II and I have bags of quarters and half dollars and dimes and nickels so I will be busy until I die. LOL keep up the great work because a 1944 and a 1992 close am in 5 minutes of picking up many thousands is a very good sign.
I have a 1998 Wide AM "Close FG" in quite nice condition. Mild off center strike (only rim is affected) on the obverse. No mint mark. Is 30-50 dollars a reasonable expectation for this coin?
Hey blue Ridge as you said ,in pocket change I truly feel like I have found the 1992 close "am". I'm on the coin opp chat group and I had put this picture on yesterday and only have one response who feels like this is also a close am." How can I yet I'm more experienced opinion. I'll be happy to send the best pictures I can take of this coin. Love your videos Man. Thanks for your time and help my name Michael Elledge
Hi I like all your videos I been learning form them a lot.! Thank you.! I also want to ask you if you can give me the name of a book that it has all the information about all the coins and metal that they were made and what to look on the coins. I really appreciate your help.! Thank you very much.!!
Great Show and Very informative! I have a 1992 d error coin. It's not a "Closed AM",but on the back where it reads "ONE CENT" the "C"& the "E" on CENT are barely visible and Smooth, like it's barely been struck and the "E" on the ONE,the top right of the E have been cut off. And at the top the "S" in " States" and the "O" in Of are also Smoothed over. The Coin is in excellent condition.....what do you think?
hi i found around 4 pennies Wide AM 1998. lol not that much value but i guess i am learning a lot from you guys. i keep searching. hope one day i find something extremely rare. i am just new to it. lol good luck everyone here. good luck
Hey blueridge got one more lil question for ya. Have a bunch of buffalo nickels that are mostly too worn to tell the date, save a few.. Anyway to determine if any are anything special or whatnot? They're dope, just not sure what to do with em.. Thanks for the time👍😁✌
Aloha BlueRidgeSilverhound🤙🏽Coin roll searching today, June 3rd, and I found a 1993D wide A M. However very worn and Dirty. Is this collectable? Have a Great Weekend👍🏽🤙🏽
Let me say it is my first time roll hutting. my found also is 0.9g and has no rim on the penny 1977 is very light all of the penny is fine you would not know there is any thing wrong untill you pick it up. very light and no rim or edge . Thank you Going to the bank for more pennys JM
Hello I have been collecting coins for many years your videos have opened my eyes to looking thru coins that I otherwise would have not looked thru in the past never knew there were so many different double dies and error coins out there thank you so much I have 5 gallon water bottles full of older pennies nickels dimes and quarters I used to throw my spare change into them every day now I have a good reason to go thru them and see if I have some coins worth more then I thought thanks again and I hope to see more of your videos as they are very helpful to collectors like myself
CL Rbg only way to sell them is by doing your own research and learning everything about coins , and grading and pricing and auctioning and rates and supply , and demand and popularity , and rare and errors and all of it , this could take months to a year and/or more
9:33 You said that these are the more extreme type of coins one can find. Could you make a video of the more common varieties one can find in Lincoln cents? Thank you.
Wow, big money in small coinage. I collect the coins over here in the UK, I'm still looking for that £7,000 undated 20p. Good video, not much info in Brit coins unfortunately
Just subscribed to your channel. I love the information you give and the seriousness of the videos. I was wondering if you have any suggestions for the beginner like myself. I have a lot of coins and wheat cents but all i have is a cheap magnifying glass. What type of microscope can i get cheaply and where. Thanks much and i look forward to watching your videos.
I found a 1988 WAM and a 1988-D WAM in the same penny roll. According to some youtube sites these are supposed to be rare and have worth assigned to them, especially the Philadelphia penny, but I was surprised to not find them in Ken Potter's Strike it Rich with Pocket Money. Can you let me know if these are indeed rare?
Just started to look at videos about coins can you tell me where I will get these coins rolls or boxes you are talking about I am interested in learning thanking you kindly in advance for your advice!
Very nice video enjoyed this a lot! that's what every coin hunters dream is to find whenever I did coin star bags tried to find coins like this and I could never find anything that great, I did get a lot of silver!
I have four crisp one dollar notes I keep in a manila envelope, they look like mint condition. They are in two pairs and each pair has successive serial numbers. One right after the other in numerical order. Would they be worth anything together as the pairs?
Yes, sequential serial numbers have some premium, especially in mint condition. However if they're not very old, it's not a big deal because you can just get sequentials from an ATM if you want.
I really have learned a lot from you and do apprecieate your hard work getting this information out to those of us who are interested. I have actually made a few dollars from your videos. Don't stop. K Bowman
hi Blueridge, i got a question for u. got a couple of 1983 penny but your picture on the video you played was too dark to recognize the details. is there anyway you can help out on that to get a better quality pics, please ty much Blue.
Hi guys! thanks for a wonderful explanation on coins! I have 2 coins of 1992'D' and 3 coins just 1992. i also have pennies from 1918, half cent from 1881 (canadian, british and Australian) And 50 cent Australian silver coin 1966 How and where i can cell my coins?
hi i was looking threw my coin jar and i found the 1992 penny and the AM is connected like you said it would be who would i take it to get it auctioned off or authinticated
found a 1969 s the other day in change! Dont think its a double die, but it has errors from the mint on it. Also found a 2000 weak strike. Found a 1955 silver quarter in a roll, LUCK. And a ton of 30's wheat pennies.
How about a rough estimate of value for a 1962 nickel full steps beautiful condition? Not sure what it would grade at but when i first saw it i thought it was a 90s-2000s at least nickel cause it was still so pretty. Got it for change at a gas station...
I went to my local Numismatist, the guy I sell my sterling to and he said he doesn't do anything with rare dye stuff. What would you suggest? I really don't want to deal with ebay.
I've been saving every penny i happened to get from 1982 and older and i even have a couple of wheat pennies... who would have thought the more younger coins have value too >.
+Sherri Ruff Modern pennies are zinc rather than aluminum. If the copper coating wears through you can see the zinc underneath. Unless there's something else special about it, unfortunately it's only worth a penny.
Wow...this is SO INTERESTING, question for you, if you dont mind sharing more of your expertise. I found two 1983 pennies. One looks brand new cooper color nice and shinny. Mint mark is "S" how do u know if its zinc? 2nd 1983 coin, is dark in color, looks old kinda, and the wierd thing is, i was trying to find the mint mark, and there is not where i think its suppose to be (underneath the date?) But what it appears to me, on the number 8 , in 1983, deems to look like the bottom loop on the 8 is
Your 1983 S is called a proof, and is worth a considerable premium over normal pennies. Anything with an s from after 1974 is also a proof. They're usually 50 cents to a dollar. To test for copper, weigh it and if it's 3.11 grams, congratulations, you hit the jackpot!
Hi, I found a 1970 S Lincoln Penny, a few weeks ago, that has a double printed date and the mint mark on it. But I'm still not sure if it's a double die or maybe just an error. So I was hoping that maybe you can help me figure this out, if i was to send you a picture of how my 1970 S Lincoln Penny looks like. And if its a double die or just an error, is it still worth something at least?
I looked through more of my Lincoln pennies and i found one that was kind of dirty but the cool thing about it is that its dated 19911. I am thinking that it might be worth a pretty penny.
I found a 1922 with no mint mark recently and being that I'm new to collecting, I don't know much about it. I am hoping to get it graded but I have ran into issues there also because I need to know how much to insure it for. Any advice??
The 1922 with no mint mark would actually be a 1922 NO D penny. It is quite valuable so make sure to get it graded or appraised before you do anything with it.
I got a 1992 a1982 small and large I got a 1983 I'm not a coin collector but I'm willing to sell for the right price and yes I'm talking Lincoln Penny's

Dave Deaver weigh it. If its 3.0-3.3 grams its worth alot of money. If its 2.5- 2.8 grams its zinc
I've found a lot of these close AM pennies. Different years, different conditions. Are they still worth something?
I have a 1993 D penny,the AM on the back are together...anything? thanks
Hey could you post a video what we might mistake for being a close AM? Awesome video as always
I really have learned a lot from you and do apprecieate your hard work getting this information out to those of us who are interested. I have actually made a few dollars from your videos. Don't stop. K Bowman

It'll create a melting frenzy for those who have many pre1982 cents and I'll be one of them no doubt.

thank you for your help that was great
I went to my local Numismatist, the guy I sell my sterling to and he said he doesn't do anything with rare dye stuff. What would you suggest? I really don't want to deal with ebay.
Hey! I just wondered I have 1994 penny and the same details in the video, do you have any idea if it's valuable?
I've been saving every penny i happened to get from 1982 and older and i even have a couple of wheat pennies... who would have thought the more younger coins have value too >.
I have a 1983 d penny. How do I know if its worth anything more than one cent? Please and thanks. Ang.
Found a2008 aluminum penny I think looks like it around the outside rim wondering what the value might be
+Sherri Ruff Modern pennies are zinc rather than aluminum. If the copper coating wears through you can see the zinc underneath. Unless there's something else special about it, unfortunately it's only worth a penny.

I found two 1983 pennies. One looks brand new cooper color nice and shinny. Mint mark is "S" how do u know if its zinc? 2nd 1983 coin, is dark in color, looks old kinda, and the wierd thing is, i was trying to find the mint mark, and there is not where i think its suppose to be (underneath the date?) Do the CAMs happen in 2004 pennies cause I have one that I have compared to other pennies and the A and M seem noticeably closer.
Hi,
I found a 1970 S Lincoln Penny, a few weeks ago, that has a double printed date and the mint mark on it. But I'm still not sure if it's a double die or maybe just an error. So I was hoping that maybe you can help me figure this out, if i was to send you a picture of how my 1970 S Lincoln Penny looks like. And if its a double die or just an error, is it still worth something at least?
yes I have 1966 daile dai old cent coin 1982
I looked through more of my Lincoln pennies and i found one that was kind of dirty but the cool thing about it is that its dated 19911. I am thinking that it might be worth a pretty penny.
Is there anyway you can show it closer?
what are the difference between 1983 Copper Transitional?
Bebe Varangan weight
I have the same coin but year is 1968
i have one 1992,1992 D ONE CENT pieces. Are they worth that much money, and were do i sell?
I found a 1922 with no mint mark recently and being that I'm new to collecting, I don't know much about it. I am hoping to get it graded but I have ran into issues there also because I need to know how much to insure it for. Any advice??
I could help you with all of your coins and things, Just Private MSG me and i could help, and give you advise
Hi I believe that coins with no mint marks come from Philadelphia
The 1922 with no mint mark would actually be a 1922 NO D penny. It is quite valuable so make sure to get it graded or appraised before you do anything with it.
Dame tu nunero
I had a 5 dollar gold coin. I forgot the year. I think 1919. Would it be worth something?
