I got the Soundcore Rave Mini for Christmas and the speaker is quite similar to the Trance. I love my rave mini because it's really cool. It has a really loud bass and you can change to Indoor or Outdoor mode on the Soundcore app. I always listen to the music on UA-cam and I use my rave mini to hear the bass thumping and it sounds really awesome. My two favorite types of music are Rock & Hip-Hop.
i wish they made it more 360, maybe they could make another one with drivers and subs on all sides. That would become a truly beast of a speaker.

I havent been able to get it to work with my phone.
It sure didn't sound very good. May have been the clunky song, however. Anker should have ditched the cheap lights and added a second tweeter. The lights remind me of one of those cheap-o QFX speakers. It also appears that you are REALLY selling this speaker hard core.
I hear that with the light's personally don't have a use for them however my excitement was legit based on the quality and how well it actually performed in my living room. We have used it all holiday season so far and it's really a nice package especially for the relatively low price.
@@JDubb One negative of the Trance compared to the extremely similar Rave Mini is the Trance doesn't have the rubber feet on the side for it to lay horizontally that the Rave Mini has. Conversely, the negative of the Rave Mini is the carry handle is a fixed position handle, so you can't fold it back out of the way to more easily access the top controls, which you can do on the Trance. Still yet, I prefer the rounded corners cabinet design of the Rave Mini. Both speakers are the same outside of cosmetics.

Besides bass up on/off are there other sound/equalizer options? Also, this is very similar to Soundcore’s Rave Mini, which I heard wasn’t a great speaker. Is the Trance the updated version of the Rave?
From what I can tell its a little more beefed-up version of the Rave, but similar. This one has been great! As far as other EQ settings, its largely only the bass option, not a lot of tuning you can do with it otherwise.
The rave mini is a good speaker it's just the fan boys of other big brands talk it down.Like how does a jbl flip have more bass,idiot bad reviews.

Better? I think its designed for a different use case. The Motion Plus is designed mostly for indoor use and is smaller. The Trance is designed to take on the go and fill an outdoor space with sound.

Thanks for the review. Could you please let me know if the Trance has a 2nd working tweeter at the bottom. Rave has a fake tweeter at the bottom and I would love to know if this one is the same before I purchase one.

@@JDubb Just checked the Anker Community forum. They say YES... that each model in the Soundcore lineup will connect together.... BUT... when you use two separate Soundcore speakers, it will automatically split the signal coming from your source into a Left channel for one speaker, and a Right channel for the other.

How far can the sound go
It's a pretty big sound. We use it in the backyard all the time and it can travel quite a way. I would say a large room is easily filled and if you use it outside or on a beach you get a solid performance 30-40 yards away even. You can hear it farther but as any speaker would be the quality starts to diminish

Save up and get a used Boombox or Partybox 100 instead tbh. I have a partybox and it shakes the house.
