Metemgee was African oriented but the Indians loved it so much. My mom cooked metemgee once a week when the man came to sell the ground provisions. Likewise Africans adopted and loved roti and curry . They love the dholl puri too.
I never heard of Metemgee before and when l saw it being cooked at the backyard Café l just fell in love with the food and I promise you that l will be cooking it soon. Thank you very much.
Damn, 😂why you had to do that..salivating here😂, when you open that , in the end, it was all over😂the duff was Bamming!😂😂I gotta try, been over 50 years since I had that! Thanks for sharing!❤
When you gonna do the fufu.? And tell me that's not an African dish..😆 🤣 just can't explain ignorance! You just keep Cooking, it's all about food Bro@ And I love to eat..😆 🤣 😂 Bam!
Happy Kwanzaa. I think that "pot" of metemgee belongs to me 👀😂😋 in Jamaica it's called "run down, in Trini "oil down' and in Belize "hudut". Will c u soon.
The last time I ate Metemgee was probably fifty years ago, but I could taste and smell the food, while you were cooking it. Do you wonder if the word "doff" was originally spelled as dough? The locals pronounced the word as doff, which rhymes with "tough", "enough" and "rough". The spelling evolved into "doff". 😁😄🤣
You are absolutely wrong its not from Africa its a ameridians dish its a embarrassment disgrace towards the ameridians please stop your fake information respect our natives the only dish that came from Africa is cookup rice known as jeallof rice
Thanks for contributing with your comment but what you should do is read up on your history/historical facts and when you do that I will comment again, do have a wonderful life.
