Carrie Fisher was on The Late Late Show with Pat Kenny in 2004 to talk about her life and career to date. Please note this interview contains some restricted content.
The wonderful Carrie Fisher presents... a version of self with insight and reflection and wisdom of acceptance of self and others. I say "version" advisedly. At the end, they discuss the concept of presenting a public persona in extremis with celebrity. I just viewed 1/7/17 Stephen Colbert's The Late Show that had Charlie Rose on. Colbert engages over concept of solitude of an individual because there is always a block from intimacy with what we can convey to truly transcend to commune with another soul. I bow to their experience.
American as well as British comedy is misunderstood by both.Lucky for me and others in the 1970’s .I had PBS and my brother would let me watch Monty Python, Benny Hill, The 2 Ronnie’s and my favorite Dave Allen.
Iris Fryer Actually, I was thinking the exact opposite. I thought she looked about seventy years old, may the good Lord rest her sweet soul. I hadn't seen pictures of her for about 3-4 years, and I was so shocked at her appearance in the new movie!!! She looked like she had had botched plastic surgery on her lips, especially. She was still smoking heavily and guzzling so many Coca Colas that I found it actually disturbing. I mean, ingesting that much soda had to have had detrimental effects on her health!!! She was already showing a slight roundness to her shoulders that women older than her sometimes display! Please, don't get me wrong, because I truly loved Carrie Fisher, and like many others, I will miss her!! It shocked, but didn't surprise me that she had a cardiac emergency. It shocked me even more when her mother died one day after Carrie!!! Poor little Gary must be sooo confused, bless him!!!!
In this interview she looks normal, at least compared to how she looked the last couple years of her life. I agree, I don't know what she did to her face, but she was unrecognizable as Carrie fisher, looked like a totally different person, no resemblance to her younger self at all. Totally screwed up her face esp her lips. She was pretty in the 70's and early 80's then was cute until 08 when she got heavy. I don't understand how someone can look completely different than they did as a younger person unless it is bad plastic surgery. Even Priscilla Presley who has had botched plastic surgery is recognizable as herself.
Dude...she had a stroke not plastic surgery. Tends to 'mess up your face'. Fortunately, Carrie brings a lot more to the world than just her looks. She's incredibly smart, funny, self-deprecating, a human-being...a gift to us all.
I don't know where this host got the idea that L.A. is boring. I've visited L.A. and it is certainly not boring. This interviewer seemed off. "What does she want, does she want like a Mexican to cook for you?" wtf?
funniest person EVER. miss her humor so much
Me was well
She was so genuine. The interviewer seemed a bit out of his depth with her humour though.
100%
That smile at 2:34 reminds me so much of her when she was young
So real. True and Honest.
Shared her struggles. RESPECT.
good old Pat - snatching defeat from the jaws of victory...utterly dumbfounded with the late great CF
Carrie was honest about everything. I miss this brilliant woman.
The last 90 seconds of this interview is riveting.
the British boy was James Blunt
Looks like it's a great interview. Bummed "restricted content" keeps popping up randomly throughout it.

Ma Ba That's heavy, Ma, heavy! And it's the GROOVIEST thing I ever heard!!!!
Peace✌️☮️!!!
Carrie❤
Her humor was wasted on this host who was a bit dense.
He must not understand sarcasm

Why is the picture restricted; but we can still hear the content?
Great interview, she looks really good here.

15:47 She's talking about James Blunt here
"resentment is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die"!!!!!
What you see is what you don’t get.
Perfect description of my mother
“You only regret stuff you don’t do”
TRUE!!!!
The audience were barely there.
hop-umb awhh
So much went over this man's head. He's seemed stuck on Elizabeth Taylor. Carrie was so intelligent and witty and he missed it all.
Still lmao....pics of Liz Taylor on here are "restricted"!!!!!!
What is the restricted content about?
Charlotte Fairchild Probably the pictures they showed of Elizabeth Taylor.
Disturbed!!???🤔
Lmao........I was doing nightclub work....... "You were SERVING(tables) in Vegas"??????? Lol #clueless
Why was the info restricted?
Either no permission for the audience couple getting on camera and/or a copyright needed for a photo of Elizabeth Taylor.
Yeah why
This is the period where she started to look like Elton John.
Who is he?
Is he Irish?

God pat was soooo dry and to boring for this beautiful force of nature!
Who is this dull, droll man?
10:19 Just like the English would talk trash about the Irish, so does the racist Pat Kenny when he looks down at Mexican cooks.
