Ogre Ballet - Casey Cangelosi | Kaja Włostowska

Kaja Wlostowska (19), young marimbist and percussionist performs Ogre Ballet for multi percussion written by the famous percussionist and composer Casey Cangelosi.
Ogre Ballet is an intensely rhythmic multipercussion piece by Casey Cangelosi in which interest is sustained through the use of constantly shifting meters and a recurring 2:5 polyrhythmic motive. Different voices are brought out through the use of both ends of a rattan handled mallet in one hand and a bass drum mallet in the other.
