Very practical combinations. My training partner and I use 1/2 of a pool-noodle each when sparring. Though they are flimsy, it allows for a bit more commitment while sparring, but without excessive injury ... yes they do sting a little. Additionally, it save wear and tear on the bag when training alone and wanting to strike at 100%. For those who don’t have a bag, I made a workable training aid out of old pillows and duct tape; not pretty but functional. Joe Berry buy a foam pool noodle at the dollar store, cut it in thirds - place it over your stick
