Pierre T. Lambert come to ashikaga flower park bro it would be awesome 😎
This was awesome! And both Aaron and Ashley have a great IG feed too. They're solid photographers in their own right. Super fun!
Salut Pierre, I enjoyed the photographs and the "five minutes" time. The two people are very good. Your photographs are really beautiful, those with red leaves are awesome and also when you take red reflections. Really beautiful. Best regards, Ariana
The way Aaron moves is like a secret operative. Fun shoot, and great shots Pierre, all around. The engagement with your subscribers is so positive!
"Since I couldn't get the shot, I'm getting the food" - it's the best quote ever! 🙆♀️😂
Great video!
Fact
Haha that lady in the background, piecing into your camera 😂! Congrats to the two! 😍
Haha you saw!
Thanks Anja! :D
Aaron Ballantyne Can u tell me on what Iso and Shuter speed u shot there? Thank u
The citizens are so friendly there ❤️❤️❤️
Yes we had a great time with everyone!
They like photos i guess, when they are tourists u know they love taking photos and selfies and things, possibly in their culture?
They’re very friendly especially when drinking
Japan is quite literally the mecca of photography. I think I saw the most # of native street photographers when I visited Tokyo. Photography is a hobby for most Japanese folks especially Japanese men.
@@barry64696 that and the fact every good camera company is japanese lol
That was fun to watch. Congrats to them. They are so lucky to have ran into you. Ashley had the better photos!
Thanks! I agree that Ash won out. It was definitely a learning experience for us. We posted a vid about it on our channel.
Congrats on the engagement! And wow, such a photogenic location - fantastic colours. These street photography challenges are always so inspiring to me, especially because of the asking permission to take someone's photo, since I'm way too shy to do that, so I never get those photos... but I might, now that I've seen it done again and it's so easy.
Thanks for the video, Pierre!
Thanks Zivi!!!❤️❤️
Don't be afraid to ask Zivi! I was the same way. It takes practice but it becomes easier over time :)
@@aaronballantyne Thank you! I'll definitely try once I travel again
Not only that. The japanese are so in love with photography. It really helps.
Definitely another meetup in Toronto! Pierre, you could be their wedding photographer, ha,ha!
2:35 video bomb
OBaaChan bomb !
Love your videos Pierre ♥♥♥
I have an idea to make the challenge more challengey
you should have a *GOAL* to *REACH* in 5 MINUTES
Like : Take perfect picture for a *Reflection* in 5 Minute or Try to get picture for weird action in 10 Mins
Good Idea!!
@@Pierretlambert Thanx Brother
Amazing video!! Congrats Ashley and Aaron
. Great shots 🎉🎉🎉🎉
It is really awesome that you incorporated everyday photographers into your video. It was really cool to see how they were pushed to take photos they not have regularly taken. Such a cool video to watch.
Happy to see Fujifilm ❤️
Loved this challenge Pieree, great location but can be hard in tight spots like that. Great to see the people were so happy and wanted to be a part of it.
I love the energy and authenticity in these videos!
LOVED this video, made me smile a lot! Interesting and fynny how people there look cool, relaxed, mostly about someone taking pictures in the street. Loved the photos of random people interacting with eachother and their reactions in front of the Camera !
Whenever the horn sound comes on you know its about to go down lmao
Pierre just casually talking to the people in perfect japanese😳😅
Splendid, brave and acting as though born to stretch themselves in front of critical strangers. Well done you two and congratulations on your engagement.
:)
Thanks for the congratulations Michael! The experience definitely inspired us to shoot more and to get out there. We're hoping to film some more Toronto based content on my channel :) It's definitely not natural to be in front of the camera but its something that we want to work on and get better at through consistency
2:35 there were also another looking 🤣
The alley shot Ashley took is the money shot in my opinion!
Great to see you having challenges with people you met on the streets! But this video shows that, even though it's a challenge and a lot of fun, street photography on a tight schedule does not yeld the best photos. This is more suitable to the photojurnalistic genre, because the story there is likely very powerful and stunning. Here, there are just people going by their evening, nothing special. So it is your job as a photographer to make the image interesting. Don't get me wrong, all these photos are better than what I can shoot, but you have better results when you take your time. Still, a very very good way to hone your skills in using the tool (camera) and becaome a fast thinker. Great video all-in-all, pleasure to watch.
I live in a town with lots of tourist taking pictures all the time at local markets without asking.. How much fun it is doing a challenge, don't forget to really connect with people and take your time.
i loved this video! i felt the passion and the emotion! pulled a unique smile on my face champ! love your vids!
Love how happy everyone is to have their photo taken
The friendliness of the people made me smile 😁
My favorite content.... You are always good at your videos
Thanks Yutty!
Pierre: We're doing a night one tonight, do you wanna play?
Aaron: There's a typhoon coming, but lets do it!
Pierre: Who cares?
hahaha classic Pierre!
Always fun to watch your videos! :)
Thank you!+
This is the most fun challenge you did! Love it!!!
Love the Japanese, they don't mind the picture. ❤️🏯
Loved this video - great collaboration with subscribers 👍
It was a lot of fun! I want to collab more with people in Toronto. Planning that for some of my own upcoming vids
Wow I really respect people from this area this incredible men 👏
I'm a high school student in Japan, but I could learn a lot of charm of Tokyo from another perspective. Your video is so fun and interesting!! I'll refer to your videos to take a photo or video.
Whoa, this place looked awesome. It seemed hard to get an uninteresting picture. So full of life and details. Great stuff.
Damn time flies while watching your video. And asking for a photo by that couple is really the most Canadian thing ever. Best people.
Awsome video! I'm learning so much from your work. Way to go Pierre!
Thanks Kevin!
Great video! Ashley reminded me a lot of the actor Elisabeth Shue.
Thank you!
Love this and a great video guys...Well done.
Thanks Ady!
😂 LOL Pierre got photobombed (vidbombed) at 2:36 by the lady in the background!
Pierre. Sont super tes vidéos... je suis un converti... pas évident faire su "street", mais le fun pareil. Ashley and Aaron, congrats to you both (from a fellow Canuck)... all the best for your lives together. Läches pas, mon Pierre. tu nous inspires.
I really like your videos. Lot of fun. Happy people and happy photographers !

Glad you enjoyed Maria!
Ashley rocked it!
I love your videos. You are my photography guru. I have seen almost all your videos. Those are the best to learn photography. I have a request if possible please share a video on street photography laws.
How do you make the colors pop so well? And the lightning is just perfect. How?? Bonne travaille ❤️
Love these!
Thank you!
Congratulations, I hope you a great life together 💯 and your dreams becoming real.
Nice video again Pierre. The photography Challenge everytime is so fun. It seems you also like Japan very much. Me to. Next year in may i go back for 5th time.
These challenge videos are so fun to watch great job 👍😁
You should make more videos with just strangers/subscribers
so awesome to see alot of the Japanese people so photo energetic!
This was great, can't wait to visit Tokyo one day
Watching your vids always inspires me to shoot. Going to Singapore in a week so I'll be going through batteries like pancakes. Cheers
Just gonna ignore the fact he speaks the language amazingly? What else can you do Pierre? 🥴😂
Im just trying to imagine operating a gimbal in such a tight space where people will be hitting off you and everything
Funny at 7.09 that's Shizuka, a friend working in Omoide Yokocho :D
Amazing!!! Love the challenges
What camera settings do you use for this kind of fast pace environment? Manual?? AP? Auto ISO? Love this, thanks!!
Maxx Basso AP is best I guess no need to think about settings much
Mostly Aperture priority or manual
Génial! Trop cool de faire ça avec des abonnés 😉
Awesome. Congrats on the engagement!
Hehe!!
Thanks! :D
Fun video Pierre, thanks for sharing!
:)
まじか、以前ここを撮影した時はめっちゃ非協力的で撮るな!って言われた。

日本にもこんなノリのいい場所あるんですね..!
Finaly something with Fuji cameras yehey ;D Too many Sony youtubers...its boring to watch them but this is better! More with apsc, m43 and nights ;)
This was rad!
Funny vid! Just a quick question: when you're in that kind of challenge. How do you focus?
- Focus point at the center then half-press + recompose like in the old times?
- Take time to move the focus point? Or zone?
- Use focus tracking?
- Use face detection?
Got lot of out-of-focus shots with this kind of challenge ahah!
Cheers
he usually moves the focus point., at least that's what he said in a previous video
The one place that I was nervous how your energy would go over.
so cool!!
Congrats! and a good challenge
Great work on this!
Awesome video!
Congratulations on the engagement!!!
❤️☀️🎉
Thanks Matthew!
This is so sick bro hahah what are the chances.!
I was pumped! It was pretty cool.
@@aaronballantyne Hopefully you enjoyed the food too.! Did alex shoot with you guys.!? Congrats on the engagement too.!
Alex filmed the intro and then it was the 3 of us running around shooting and filming each other while Alex waited to get very particular shots down the alley. He's a really cool guy too. Both of them are super genuine people.
@@aaronballantyne nice.! ya alex & pierre are some of my close friends! They're legends
Will you ever do more film photography? Cinestill 800t would be perfect for night street photography like this!
Awesome video! What bag are you using and how are you liking it?
Really nice idea “challenge” are Very funny and cool !!
This is 6 months late, but still - congrats to Ashley and Aaron! Sending good vibes and positive wishes your way from sunny Suriname! ☺
Hey Pierre, Love your vids. I’m looking to buy first full frame (A7iii or A7riii), I’m wondering what you’d recommend for a beginner’s first few lenses to get started with. I’m mostly wanting photos of my family while we are traveling (environmental portraits, landscape, nighttime) and I don’t know where to start. Thanks!
Awesome challenge and I get to follow two more Canadians. 😁👍🇨🇦
Thanks for the follow Mike! :)
@@aaronballantyne No problem 😎
Maaann... I was just in Tokyo the whole week last week. Would've been awesome to join you guys. Great video!
Hi Pierre :) I love your photography and channel, I’m just wondering what camera do you use when taking these photos and what setting on your camera do you use? Like manual? Shutter speed and aperture and iso.
Thank you 🙏
High five for you doing this with subs ... and Aaron ... Peak Design backpack .. you know it's good gear :)
📸
❤️
Yoooo the dude is IDENTICAL to Anthony Mackie
Lol. I've never heard that one before :P
so beautyful
What would you prefer to use, the 70 - 200mm GM or the 85mm GM?
Inspiring thank you for the content
I love this all video , also i love photography but i can't learn because i have no camera and i can't pay fee for cinematography school
hey Pierre! just wanted to ask, when are you planning to go here in the Philippines?
Hey Pierre! I have a question. I'm a new photographer and I like your video challenges. So, my question is based on how do you edit photos. what kind of software do you use? Thank you
If my camera was half decent, I'd be up for a challenge with Pierre, though I concede Pierre has more experience and a significantly better camera set-up. P.s, Congrats Aaron and Ashley!
Thanks Kris!
@@aaronballantyne No worries! Good luck with your future! :)
Let's do a phone one!
@@Pierretlambert That's a *great* idea,. except I currently don't have a phone (so no Instagram access at the moment either) and if I were to use someone else's phone I'd be at a distinct disadvantage. At the moment I'm trying to get the funds together for a new (new to me I mean, I'd happily settle for second-hand) much more recent camera than my (nearly) 10yr old, slow, almost featureless APS-C Samsung NX11 but without a F/T job it's an utter nightmare.
If I went digital, I'd be aiming for either a Sony A7III or A7RIII, Panasonic S1R, or maybe even a Nikon D810 or D850 - if I went with film, I'd go for either a Rolleiflex 2.8F TLR or a variant of the Mamiya RZ67 or EVEN maybe a Hasselblad 500CM all medium format cameras of course.
The over-riding factors for me in my situation though would be primary cost, running costs and practicality.
Next time give thanks to the people that you taking a photo. Say arigato or thanks. My god. Anyhow, thanks for inspiring me pierre. I love photography now because of you.
1st one to comment on a YT video :) Never happened before yesss
Woot!!!💥💥 Thank you!
Congrats!
