    I love my TT. It's very natural. I know about the Dave and the Yggy but I just like the sound coming out of the TT so much I'm just leaving well enough alone.

    Thanks for the review, really enjoyed,
    I read somewhere that getting a better power supply for the Chord 2Qute brings it closer to the Chord Hugo TT.
    Awaiting eagerly for your comparison of the Hugo TT with the Hugo 2.

      Hi Jaspal I was thinking that the whole time I had the 2Qute. I would have tested it out as part of the review but I didnt have a 12v linear or battery supply to use.
      What I thought was interesting is the price difference between the 2Qute + Better Power Supply and the Hugo 2.
      It will be about £300 to £600 for a really good linear supply - is that money better spent put towards the Hugo 2.
      I have just put the Hugo 2 Review up and I will do the comparison video for you as quick as I can. All the work is done for it I just need to put the video together - thanks for the comment and support

    Hi, Can you tell me more about the isolation base @7:43 on the timeline. Where do I purchase one? I too have noticed that the TT sounds a little slow and on the safe side; within the first hour, it really starts to open up on the one hour mark.

    • @PursuitPerfectSystem

      Hello There - there are lots of products on the market - I like these isolators - they are called Cera-Discs bought from here - www.plinth-design.com/ I helped with the ideas behind them. You will see them in a lot of my videos. Now the one on top is me messing around and doing testing. The company are due to release a product for the same effect but much more visually and functionally acceptable - make sure when you contact the company you mention me and this channel and you will get very well looked after. All the best let me know if I can of any more help

      Hey, thanks. So, you just put the four Cera-Discs on top of the TT, in each corner, rather than underneath?
      Thanks

    Great review! Just got mine and its easily the best DAC I ve had in my system so far. I do have a question though, when using it as a standalone DAC and setting the fixed volume for DAC only use, the volume knob is still working. Just wanted to know if that was a normal thing. Thanks!

    Would the TT pair well with the Sennheiser HD800 S?

    • @PursuitPerfectSystem
      @PursuitPerfectSystem  6 років тому

      Renaissance Ear-Candy I am sorry I didn't try the headphone section of the TT only the standalone dac aspect of its performance

      No. The TT does NOT sound good withe the hd800s.

    Just wanted to know if there is a volume knob on the top of the Hugo TT?

      jaspal kallar hi jaspal I am pretty sure its the same as on the hugo 2 a ball type unit you roll up and down. Not the best description

    • @jaspalkallar5993
      @jaspalkallar5993 7 років тому +1

      Thanks, that's what I suspected, Did you or has anybody else ever tried the ball type volume roll up and down on the Hugo 2? If so, did you like it?

    • @PursuitPerfectSystem
      @PursuitPerfectSystem  7 років тому

      jaspal kallar yes I had a little play its a cool way of controlling the headphone section

    Do you have any intention of comparing the new Qutest with the TT? I'm wondering if the Qutest with a good PSU would compete with the TT.
    Also wondering if Chord will produce a TT-2 with the same DAC as the Hugo2 and Qutest. Perhaps a potential TT-2 would stray into the same territory as the DAVE(?).
    Thanks for the review by the way.

    • @PursuitPerfectSystem
      @PursuitPerfectSystem  6 років тому +1

      Rave Snave thats a very interesting set of questions ones I am thinking about as well. Yes I also think the Qutest with a very good power supply could be something and it is something I will be testing for sure.
      I think it could go one of 2 ways - they release a TT2 to allow for balanced connections and it would be worth it for that for a lot of people.
      However they may replace the TT with a more modest priced M Scaler and have the Qutest + MScaler fill the price region the TT sat in. That's also very interesting especially if it can also be powered from an external supply.
      Its the heaphone amplifier section which is the odd bit now. I would prefer they sell a dedicated headphone unit like the Hugo 2 and just leave the dacs as stand alone.

      Thanks for your reply. I look forward to your review of the Qutest. I may be interested in the Qutest with a complimentary headphone amp. I tried my Chord Hugo as a system DAC but I was very far from impressed. I was considering the Hugo-TT but will hold off for a little while yet.
      Great reviews - keep up the good work.

      It is strange how the old 2qute and new Qutest does differ. It is like two complete different companies. 2qute life-like, realistic mid full presentation, Qutest is "calm down" and pulled back... so I would expect same difference in TT and TT2

    • @1jhnpennington

      @TasmanGuitarsAmps that's really interesting - I've just bought a 2qute as I couldn't afford a qutest. Have you owned both? Did you prefer the 2qute?

      @@1jhnpennington I bought the TT-2 + M-Scaler. A great combo but expensive.

    You weren't mad keen on the Chord SPM 1050 mk2. Maybe if you try it again together with the TT you might get a different impression.

    • @PursuitPerfectSystem
      @PursuitPerfectSystem  7 років тому

      Malc C thats quite possible Malc, I did say in the 1050 review it could be something else. however I have tried a few other amps and the luxman and mcintosh both sounded brilliant so it might be I just dont really like the sound of that amp. I would like to try others from Chord for sure and I would try the 1050 again.

    • @cmalc

      Pursuit Perfect System
      I suspect the richness and fullness of the TT might be overblown with those amps, but perfectly balanced by the 1050. 'Phat' amps may be balanced to compensate for leanness in other DACs.

    • @PursuitPerfectSystem
      @PursuitPerfectSystem  7 років тому

      yes that is definitely a potential factor, only one way to check that for sure - however I dont know if you have heard Meridian equipment - that is the Dac I use normally and lean is not a Meridian trait House Sound - normally the opposite. I would also say the McIntosh MC152 is a leaner sounding amp compared to the Luxman M700U but both of those worked really well in their own ways when I used them and the Arcam P49 come to think of it
