I discovered I was having an ectopic pregnancy last month. Prior to that, I had been watching your videos and knew that you had had an ectopic pregnancy without any preexisting risk factors as well. It gives me hope to know that you were able to successfully have two children after your ectopic pregnancy. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos, I appreciate you. :)

In April of this year, I was treated for an ectopic pregnancy that that ruptured. I lost 3 liters of blood, had surgery and three blood transfusion. I am forever grateful for the doctors that quickly saved my life!

Almost 2 weeks since my 2nd ectopic pregnancy. First one was 5 months ago. Had laparascopy and both tubes are still there.
Ectopics really suck, the moment you see those 2 lines you already start envisioning your life with the baby only to start getting pains days or weeks later.

Thank you for this information. But, what should we do next once one has an ectopic pregnancy? I mean, after HCG is zero and have passed the two to three months after methotrexate. What studies should come next to assess the chances of getting another ectopic? What did you do after your ectopic pregnancy? It could be a good follow-up video. Thanks!

I experienced an ectopic pregnancy last month. I had a hormonal IUD and was bleeding abnormally for 1 week. I decided to take a home pregnancy test and it resulted positive. I went to the ER and was given Methotrexate but that did not work after monitoring my HCG for 1 week. I underwent a removal of my left fallopian tube and I am now fully recovered! I am so happy for modern medicine.
Thank you for this video :)

Ectopic pregnancies are so scary and it’s sooo important to know the signs! I’m so glad I listened to my body when I had an ectopic pregnancy. I didn’t even know I was pregnant, I thought I had a really bad UTI. I went to the ER and next thing I know, I’m getting prepped for tube removal. Thankful I went to the ER when I did and extremely thankful for the medical staff that knew the risks of an ectopic pregnancy!

Can you see the pregnancy in the tube via ultrasound? How do you know it’s a heterotopic pregnancy because if you see one in uterus, do most keep looking?

Just wanted to say that I have been following you for some time now and love your channel. I found your channel when I first became an IVF nurse and have learned so much from you and still do. I appreciate you providing studies and stats when sharing your knowledge! Thank you for all you do 🙂

I'm 39 and I got pregnant the first time I tried, however, it was ectopic. I was devastated, I've never had chlamydia or any stds that scar the tubes. I was treated with methotrexate, my doctor wants me to do an HSG test after. But I feel so stressed to hear bad results.

    Hey Nicole,
Question for you. I just had my second miscarriage in a row (second time trying for babies) .. I have a cyst in my right ovary.. but this time the ultrasound said my left had a dominant follicle .. and that was the side I had extreme cramping on. They couldn’t see any fetal presence in the uterus.. could this follicle possibly be the pregnancy?
Thanks for taking the time to answer this

I'm at the end of dealing with an etopic pregnancy, 8 weeks bleeding. I had pain in my hip and gas / wind pain, went to A and E, made to wait 6 hours, told them i believe it was etopic but was told it was likely a miscarriage, to come back in 2 weeks, so started bleeding and pain, then saw doc at 8 weeks, after hcg test increased after dropping told its likely etopic. Pregnancy in unknown location. The hospital blamed IVF. IVF patients are more at risk i was told. Had methotrexate injection and 6 weeks later still miscarrying. Its not easy.

Thank you for sharing this video! I recently had a cornual ectopic pregnancy from my first FET and I am so thankful my state does not restrict access to these medications/procedures. I had a scan at 5.5 weeks that located the ectopic and later that same day I was able to receive methotrexate and didn't need to undergo surgery.

I had an ectopic pregnancy a few weeks ago. 😢 It was heartbreaking. I also had a 4 cm cyst in my ovary and lost a lot of blood. It is surreal that it happened to me.

I found out I had an ectopic pregnancy in November last year. It was found very early on and I got treated with an Metotrexate injection. Hearing that some women won't be treated for this condition in time due to abortion laws is beyond horrific. The Swedish healthcare system but I hope this will never be an issue here.

Why would an ectopic happen after IVF ? Is it the uterus the problem here or something else make the egg to travel into my fallopian tubes ?

Thank you for this video, before my husband about 33 years ago was born his mother had a twin pregnancy with one in the tube, she had the surgery but unfortunately lost both babies. Have surgeries for this condition changed in that time? Is it more likely to be able to keep the other pregnancy now?

    • @NatalieCrawfordMD
      @NatalieCrawfordMD  2 роки тому +1

usually can detect earlier so can remove the tube and leave the baby in the uterus but if it ruptures mom may lose both (decreased blood supply to the uterus)

Ya know, I don't often comment on ANYTHING but you're right, words DO HAVE MEANING!! As a mother of two teens, attempting to have a rainbow baby with my second husband... I have fears and questions about rh- incompatibility, having missed my rhogam shot after a ruptured ectopic. YOUR CHOICE OF WORDING REGARDING ECTOPIC PREGNANCY and "why should we even care about them?" IS ABSURDLY COLD AND PAINFUL!! As a health care provider, MAYBE (at least I hope) you might care about the mothers you're alienating and hurting with such casual language. The CHILD I lost due to a ruptured ectopic was devastating and just SO MUCH MORE PAINFUL THAN MY HUSBAND AND I EVER COULD'VE ANTICIPATED POSSIBLE!! I realize that this life can be painful, and loss inevitable, SO WE MUST LEARN TO COPE! Thank you for the info you've taken the time to share!! For some reason I Just felt the urge to speak my ❤ 🤍 💙 🧡 🖤 ♥️ IF YOU ACTUALLY read this, THANKS for listening!! ❤ 🤍 💙 🧡 🖤

May I ask how long it took you to fully recover? I’m a month out from my ectopic pregnancy and I’m still feeling a lot of pain in my pelvic area and rectum area. Please please answer as im desperate and can’t find any answers elsewhere 🙏🏽
