Y'all are super sweet and I appreciate the information! 💙 I moved to Guadalajara 8 months ago and we have similar weather. I do not have a heater or air conditioner. Some people are installing air conditioners with the weather heating up. Fortunately, my rental is on the lower level and that helps a lot. I only need a fan, which only increased my electric bill 40 pesos for 2 months. I wish you the best!! And...🇲🇽 ¡¡Viva México!! 🇲🇽
So glad to hear you both say that there is more Spanish spoken in SMA than PV. I am a Permanent Resident of Mexico (Green Card) and also speak Spanish fluently so not looking forward to moving to a totally Gringofied city. Hopefully run into you both when I finally make it to SMA take care
Thank you for your video. I visited SMA 2 years ago, and I definitely want to retire there. I'll be looking in the outskirts of the city. Thanks, and God bless.❤

Bobby looks like he would rather be at the cafe, chilling out. good couple, keep up the freedom.
Thank you so much for providing all this great information and sharing your perspective on living in San Miguel for the last 6 months. It's very helpful! My husband and I will be there in November for our scouting trip.
@@aginggrateful I will be back most likely in October. Haven't made it over to SMA. I have mixed feelings about it without visiting. Not a big fan expat communities and the cost associated with living in them, but living in GDL has gotten costly as well.
Lovely to meet you at Hecho Barbershop Bobby! Husband and I moved here last July and are in the middle of a renovation of our home in Centro! Hope to stay in touch. Joe
Joe, the pleasure was mine. We love meeting new friends and I pray that we become that. Praying your renovation is going well. Looking forward to connecting.
Love, love, love, this for you two, plus one! 😊 Thank you for your hospitality and for teaching me and my cohorts Mexican train! I hope to return for more brisket and fun at the dining room table! ❤❤❤
First time here! Enjoyed the video..thinking about visiting their..can you talk more on renting costs..i lived in San Carlos but it was too slow. Looking forward to visiting there.
Welcome and thanks for watching. We have a few videos on our channel talking about rental costs. We even showed some apartments when someone was asking about living here for 15k or less. ua-cam.com/video/ZNiHCeRwqig/v-deo.html
By July you won’t need AC. The summer will be over by then and you will experience some really nice weather (or so we have been told). The weather is already changing here.
I remember watching you two immigrate to PV, then pivot to SMA. Very happy it's worked out for you, not to mention I'm really enjoying your content on SMA. See you at both the August and November conferences. Stay blessed.
yall, the summer clip of how hot it gets is probably the best analogy I've seen. couldn't stop laughing. that kind of heat is a hard no for any place to live.
Im so glad u mentioned the Spanish! I was there recently and felt very unprepared bcuz I kept hearing how much English was widely spoken. That was not my experience at all! If my Spanish was better I would’ve had an even better experience but it was still everything u guys mentioned for sure.
Thank you for commenting. We are adjusting to learning Spanish and stepping outside our comfort zone with that. Hope you come back and enjoy this beautiful city again.
We love that you are feeling right at home! We've been on Querétaro for a year and a half and love central México. Yes, these past two summers have been record breaking heat due to El Niño. We don't have an A/C. After this summer, we're going to going to have one installed. We were in SMA last weekend and I was kept my eyes open for a Bobbi and Cedric spotting 😊
This was an unusual summer. As you said. It was hot everywhere, even here in Playa del Carmen, where our bill was $6,000Mx and unbearable to be outside and function normally.
Well, you won’t be able to escape some heat. However central Mexico does have summer for a short period of time and then cools off really nice. We would recommend maybe taking a couple of trips at various times (summer and winter) and see what you think.
It stays cool along the coast in northern Baja because the ocean stays in the mid sixties during winter and down to the mid fifties during summer so that tends to keep the air temperatures cool year round. Today, June 30, was the warmest day of the year so far at 76 with a forecast of 63 tonight. I wore shorts today for the first time!
Hola, first time here. We'll be in SMA the end of Sept and MUST KNOW...where to get that flaming pizza in your intro? Maybe we'll run into you there! Just subscribed to your channel. Looking forward to seeing SMA through your eyes.
Ive lived in Mexico 4 years and started out in a city with lots of foreigners. I hated it. I came to learn the culture. Moving to a place with very very few foreigners is nirvana for me. I could NEVER live in SMA, Chapala area, etc
Yes the Earth is definitely getting alot warmer, and can't believe these Climate deniers can't feel it. Curious how much would one of the air conditionings splits cost to buy and be installed in the bedroom for sleeping and how much would it add to the Electric bill? Thanks Great Video!
Having an AC split unit installed is not expensive. To purchase a decent one may be about $400 -$500 USD and adding to the electric bill would depend on how often you use it. We don’t have one here but when we were in Puerto Vallarta we had two AC split units and the bill was pricey. We have a video on that shocker.
@@aginggrateful You two have probably learned by now that your electric bill in PV wasn't just based on how much you alone used it. Once you or the previous renter uses their a/c all of the time it puts it up into the higher priced tier and it could take months of low use to get it back down into the lower priced tier. While you were in PV you were essentially paying more than you should have because the previous renter probably ran it all day and pushed that unit you were renting into the higher use billing cycle. A good tip for anyone renting a place is to ask the landlord for the last electric bill for the specific unit you are going to rent. This is especially true for places that rent for short term. People who come and visit for a week or two don't think about this and tend to run the a/c all day and night. Buena suerte!
Congratulations on living abroad new subscriber here wanting to move abroad if you guys don't mind how do you make an income abroad please and thank you
Hello! Thank you for subscribing. This is a great question. One of which we get a lot. One of the things you could do is look for remote work in the industry that you are currently in. It is different for everyone. We also offer move abroad preparation coaching services as well.
I live in the gated community on the corner. I saw you and your daughter once but I was going down the hill in the other direction. Before you go to Phenoix again, I have some suggestions.

Thank you. This is one of the places my wife and I are considering.
I can't believe that it has been 6 months already! It's good to hear that you like it there and feel comfortable as well.

Hey guys, Great video again. One note and maybe you noticed it on the replay. It seamed only one of your mics was working
Thank you for watching and the info on the mic. For some reason Bobbi’s mic was not working appropriately. We fixed it though. 😁
I am going to be retiring in a 1 1/2 years. Think about somewhere in Mexico but I don't like the heat what do you recommend

High in the mountains of chihuahua they get some light snow just about every year

Thinking of working remotely for long periods of time. Is the internet connection strong ?
The internet is strong. We both work and have not had an issue. It's easy and inexpensive to get fiber ran straight to your house.
Is it not like the US where you could just go buy a window AC unit at Walmart or something?
Yes you can but that starts eating into your electric bill.
SMA's weather is still better than any places in the US overall.
By far. It was hot this year but we will take that over our previous AZ weather.
If you think its hot there come to AZ, yesterday 110
LOL yeah we know all too much about that AZ heat. The difference is at least you have AC there :-)
Love your videos. What area do you live in?
Thank you. We live in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
I have questions ? Are ever tink to tithing inglés to tha people from san Miguel?
Hola! We love learning and practicing our Spanish. It would be nice to help local family to practice English.
6 months and running SMA like a BOSS!!
Trying to be BOSS like you. 😃❤️
