      Cheers, Tim! I'm glad that you enjoyed the video. I miss all the metal clinging and mechanical ratchet sound during the build phase already! On a side note, when you are ready to buy their frameset, feel free to use my affiliate link and discount code in the description. I look forward to seeing your bike build with it too! 🤗

    Nice build....it looks like it fits you perfectly....what size frame/toptube and how tall are you?

    • @tadwenture
      @tadwenture  9 годин тому

      Hey Lee, I am 178cm tall and had built this with the Large frameset (57cm), whilst considering a swept back flat handlebar at the time. The seat tube at this size did catch me out though, with the top tube merely meeting my groin whilst I am standing. Otherwise I should have gone for the Medium size, which seems to be the recommended size based on my height. :)

    What a lovely bike you have there (your last bike was also nice)
    Are you self taught? You’ve done a great job on the build.
    I’m surprised that you use a multitool for the assembly, with the budget for the bike I would have thought you’d treat yourself to some workshop tools. But hey, if it does the job you’ve proved we don’t all need a mechanic’s workshop.
    We’ll done sir 👏❤

      Cheers, David! 🤗Yea I was self-taught for this build, mainly by watching tutorial videos from Park Tool's channel, especially the wheel build session! Perhaps my background in engineering and having built one for Wen two years ago gave me a bit of confidence too, knowing that I can still fire fight if I ever screw up. 🤭 And the multitool...I know right?! I don't know how I managed to pull it off without losing my patience haha....maybe I will treat myself with a proper set if I were to do another build in the future. 👍

      @@tadwenture Very impressive. The Park tool channel is so valuable. Calvin is a legend.
      I admire your courage in building your own wheels. I haven’t plucked up the courage for that yet.

    Awesome build and vid. What were those cable guide clip thingys called?! I much prefer those to zip ties

    • @tadwenture
      @tadwenture  2 години тому

      I learnt about this type of housing clip from my previous build video when someone totally despise cable ties and strongly suggested me to use the C-clips. I got these C-clips from Jagwire and so far they hold the cable housing very snug and doesn't come off. I'm a big fan of them now although they are on the expensive side, but you pay for what you get I supposed :) I'm spoiled this time 😅

      Yoo....this pair of boots is a cycling specific boots with built-in cleats beneath the sole. Cool right!? The make is Quoc - Chelsea Boots, a British brand that I followed ten years ago. They mainly specialise in Road and Gravel cycling shoes now. This pair of boots is a bit stiff to begin with, but I finally broke into it after three seasons of wear now :)

      Ah. Thanks for the information. I’ve heard of them, they did a collaboration with restrap for their cycling sandals.
