You should have mentioned the transportation as you can take the train to LA Orange County or San Diego from the Oceanside Transit Center you can also go east to Vista San Marcos and Escondido from the transit center
It’s got it’s differences! Carlsbad has some higher class neighborhoods, highly rated schools, average price point for a home is much higher as well. O’side probably isn’t far behind
We bought our home in 1991 a two story near back gate near where the Arrowood community is for $214,000 ……all my friends from OC said I was stupid to buy there……well 30 years later I am having the last laugh……my favorite breakfast/lunch spot is beach break off Cassidy and PCH….been eating there for thirty years family owned
@lifeinsandiego it's become a very boring city, I'm a oceanside original, Google oside in the 70 80 90s it was vibrant and full of culture . Basically dirty politics and racism is carving out oceanside. We are a mix of people from all walks with culture. No soul food spots no more ,no more salsa dancing, no night life whatsoever. After 9 p.m the city shuts down . Like I said they want this like laguna Nigel, del Mar Solana Beach. Unless u like breweries and b.s I wouldn't come to live
@@Blue-v1h- You’re describing most cities in America. It’s all become homogeneous now with the key differences only being the weather. You want culture move to Mexico or maybe Miami or some other country.

This is probably the only Oceanside video where i didn't mention the coaster, but yes you are right it is a bonus
Lived in north county 20 years. Oceanside is alot better and safer than ever, I use to avoid going there now I feel safer there big time.
Harbor Fish And Chips. Amazing!
For one of the last “inexpensive” beach towns in Southern California it’s still very EXPENSIVE‼️
You can’t forget hill street doughnuts in south O. Best French crüellers and ham and cheese croissants around
I can taste it now
I live in this wonderful city. I found my paradise
How would you compare Oceanside to Carlsbad? Been to Carlsbad and loved it, but didn’t get to Oceanside. Sounds nice though.

You'd have to live there to understand why it's north counties best kept hidden secret gem😊
Amen 😎

The coffee cake FTW 🙌🏼
Born (1955) and raised in Oceanside. There are pros and cons. Sold and moved in 2016.
Where’d ya go!?
Calle montecito Libby lake a good area or no
Maybe it's nicer now I remember back in the 80s it was gang infested.
It’s certainly changed
Still is theres more homeless now
I just hope the gentrification stops . This isn't del Mar
Not sure it will!
