I am eager to hear your thoughts on this film and the build in general. I had issues with footage, audio, parts, everything that I needed to take 6 months away just to clear the mechanism. And, I have to say, I enjoyed editing this one the most. I hope you enjoyed it. If you did, consider subscribing or joining our UA-cam Group here - airkewld.co/YTVW2023 💀
Since your eager to hear my thoughts 🙂Id love to watch this series because it looks like great content. But the going from music thats to loud (so i turn it down) then to what your saying (now its low so I turn it up) is way to much hassle. I could read the subtitles but then im not watching what your doing. So I wont be subscribing but I do wish you great success on the build. Looks like you have a very nice shop and that you know what your doing.
Asking for a little volks prayer, after 20 years+ I’m about to start a project with my son ( like my father did with me ). A 57’ on a 70’ pan. I hope I remember the lesson’s he pasted on to the next generation! Thanks for the reminders & showing the tricks & advance on the little things.
Pete, this is a fantastic tutorial for anyone rebuilding their Beetle/Ghia chassis. I wish this had been posted when I was rebuilding mine. The transformation of that chassis is incredible - it's too nice now to put a body on it!
I submitted! Mine would be an easy pick, I’m in Buckeye, and my car is already body off chassis sitting on the garage floor, I’ll even bring it to you 😂😂😂
currently im hyper fixated on building a race car from a beetle frame. i will now make a hundred page long spread sheet of parts i need to buy. i did this last week. the cycle never ends.
I know you already made a video of you spring platr for lowering rear suspension for swing type rear axle... but you didn't made one for raising it for baja application. I hope you could make one...Thanks.
This is killer work you guys do. The chassis and suspensions in these cars have always been definitely neglected and more often than not take a backseat to big motors, paint, interior, nice transaxles and accessories and upgrades and they are not even serviced when restoring a car. The chassis is your foundation and is the most important part of your car, sort of like the roofing in a building. If your foundation is lacking everything else goes to hell.
I wonder how hard it would be to install an either a 901 transaxle (type 4 Porsche) or a 915 (from a 911) into this chassis. I have a 72 beetle that I want a high output type 4 or a 3.2 911 in to my beetle.
I have question about a clutch cable....I got the old one out but i cannot get the new one into the hole to push it in to hook it up and wonder if there is a easy way to do that ? I have been trying to get this clutch cable in for about two weeks now and still cant do it. Is there a trick to it or some easier way to get that in ?
Depending on the year will depend on the location of where the cable will enter. backhanding the cable by feeling for the tube and routing it by hand has always worked in the past. You can try installing one of these - www.airkewld.com/Chassis-Inspection-Plate-Kit-2701-p/2701.htm and it will make it a breeze. Good luck.
@@jamesbaber1582 Do you have a mirror and a flashlight? Put the mirror in the pedal assembly hole in the tunnel and shine a flashlight at the mirror to locate the tube. Then it should be easy to locate.
Wow.. they look like garbage when you get them, and pure art when you're done.. I want to build a Baja in the near future and have you do your magic on the frame and pan... Until then, take care and God Bless....
Looks great in what you are doing, but we cannot see what you are building and cannot hear you. Need some floodlights and better audio and don't mumble your words.
We have done this several times on this channel and we didn't want to do the same thing over and over again. Please check out our other videos and they will go into more info than this one.

I’m soon removing my ‘56 body off of its current ‘60 pan and putting it on a ‘56 pan. Wishing you the best on your project.
VW Beetle is the best car ever built bar none!!! Great job!

Thank you for Sharing the amazing work, and one day i will have your chassis under my beetle here in Canada.
Another great video Pete! Loved the finished product by you and the PRO's.
Eso quedó mejor de fábrica, muy especial . Gracias por compartir!!
Better than Factory built , and they were built to last , except for the floor pans ,,, Great work .

I hope the body is better looking than the chassis! Otherwise, don't cover it up! I hope my build turns out a tenth as sweet as thus one, great job!
i love your show
Very nice but man, I was hoping to see those sweet-ass slot mags mounted up! Seriously though, really nice rebuild.
Excelente trabajo, un brazo fuerte desde Argentina, Mi motor tiene un encendido a magneto.

Buen video. Cuantos dollares cuesta un trabajo asi ??
Diecinueve mil dólares o 324705 pesos
Terima kasih kawan.
Apakah kawan jual chasis untuk VW safari
Kami tidak menawarkan VW Chassis lagi kerana permintaan komponen kereta api pandu kami.

No idea my friend.
Awesome video 👌🏽. What tires are those?
Is this pan painted or powder coated?
Powder coated BK08 satin black
Do you guys find when assembling the spring plates with rubber bushes it’s very tight with the thickness of the powder coat?
No sir. I little lube, and they pop into place.

I finally got it in the tube but it keeps getting stuck towards the end of the tube and having trouble getting it completely threw now
I didn't see the disk brakes that were used listed?
We don't offer them Jerry. They are factory originals.
