Hope to see this guy in bigger roles. At the same time I love that he acts purely for the passion of it and goes for whatever character he finds interesting regardless of how little screen time he'll get. I've watched that 4 minute scene of the gaunt man in Flight multiple times and it still captivates me. Spectral was great as well. Hoping the best for JBD (:
He always leaves such an impression in all his roles, whether it's a supporting or minor character. In all his movies (Flight, Shame, Iron Man 3), he looks different in every movie - he's a real chameleon. Although, I saw The Lone Ranger at the movie three days ago and it was the first time I started to recognize him. James has a exciting future ahead of him.
This is a great interview, love the way you just let him talk. He seems to be a genuinely kind, humble person despite his great roles in many major films.
Yeah....pretty interesting interview, kept my attention. Seen this guy in a few things now and hes great, really gets into and involved with the parts he plays and you know a really down to earth chap. Good luck to him.
Same here, I went to TLR, and while I did actually love the movie (critics can go to hell) I walked away pretty impressed with JBD, so when i looked him up, I was shocked he was the co-villain in Ironman 3. What a chameleon. I hope nothing but the best for him, and Armie Hammer, both promising rising stars. Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp wont be here forever, somebody has to replace them!
It totally does not matter how big the role is.....this man is a magnificent actor..and he is was under recognized......he deserves 40 minute interviews!
i'd basically agree, badge is the tops. i remember seeing him back in lord of the flies when i was a kid and being bowled over. if not for denzel, then i'd 100% agree: james stole the whole picture. he got like 3 minutes in the movie, and it was one of - if not the best - walk on role i'd ever seen. maybe mickey rourke in the pledge. maybe, i guess it's not a contest. but james is such a tuned in fellow and never overstates any role's voice, but never understates any role's humanity. he walks a fine line.
I know, I saw that, he was the guy who blew Leo away. I think it's kind of cute, that in the interviews, he may be from New York, but he does sound more like a country boy, not a New Yorker, which is a change of pace. NYC is not all of New York, but just a fraction of it. My family is from up in the Buffalo area.

This guy was incredible on The Pacific!

Chameleon is how I use to describe Kevin Spacey. Did a ton of movies playing smaller roles. Too bad he went down the path he did.
Lord of the Flies
I love, love, love this man! I could watch him act and listen to him talk forever! Wisdh I knew him in person!

HE was great in flight.
The most memorable scene from the movie for me.

I took it as a Johnny Depp delivery. And who can't get enough of the rare rawity of any subject performed?

GUYS DOES ANYBODY REALIZE HOW ADORABLE BUT SEXY HE WAS IN LORD OF THE FLIES C'MON!!
he will always be Chase from 24 for me
that's a shame since he's so much more than chase.
OF COURSE I DID RECOGNIZE HIM! he is brilliant!
Does anyone know what that creepy thing is on his shirt?
Denzel is the modern day Burt Lancaster. If anyone over 60 is watching
Ironman 3, the lone ranger.....
@Davidland24 Sorry bud but many people can out act Denzel. I don't remember anything Denzel did but I remember James Badge Dale.
So I'm assuming you've never seen Training Day?
Chase Edmunds
40-minute interview for a 4-minute role?
It totally does not matter how big the role is.....this man is a magnificent actor..and he is was under recognized......he deserves 40 minute interviews!
The greatest parts in Iron Man 3, World War Z and Lone Ranger was the scenes with this guy, an impressive scene stealer!
I just found out he's also Matt Damon's partner in The Departed. How does he maintain a low profile while doing all these great films?
I wish they didn't cancel Rubicon... thank you for sharing as usual, Cunningham a reality as we discussed before?
He stole Flight. What an actor

Wheres the rest of the interview? It sounds like it cut him off.
