Hailing from the Coachella Valley, California, garb is a four-piece band comprised of M. Carrick O’Dowd (songwriting, vocals, rhythm guitar), Nick Sacro (songwriting, drums), Nic Lara (lead guitar), and Lindsay Clark (bass). Initially the solo project of M. Carrick O’Dowd, garb was created shortly after the break-up of his band Safety Net. Transitioning from an intense post-hardcore sound to a softer approach, O’Dowd released his first LP under the garb name, Terminal, in September 2017, with a follow up EP, No Business, in March 2019. After the release of the EP No Business, garb transitioned into a full band, with Nick Sacro serving as co-writer. With the new single, life-alert, garb transitions into a larger sound, with notable influences like 12 RODS, Jawbox, Low, and Duster to name a few.
