I can barely contain myself. As one of the 9000 members of your FB group who did not qualify for the initial study (by the triad numbers), I paid for my own CTA and was told by my doctor that my results were best he'd ever seen. He didn't say "at your age" as I thought he was going to say. He said "at any age". Of course, most of his patients can't get the scan unless they have certain symptoms. Just wish I knew the "score". I am 68 on LCHF since 2014 and carnivore for last 17 months. In 8 years, A1C dropped from 6.0 to 5.2, BMI from 31 to 22. Testosterone from 460 to 640. LDL shot up to mid 200s. Both HDL and Trigs in the 70s (ratio about 1:1). Dave, I would love to be in your Triad Study and contribute $ as well.
Looking forward to the results being published and also the new study. Thank you. I'm a non-lean hyper responder on low carb. I'm in Australia so cannot be involved in any studies but it's great to hear that they are being done and with no pharma or other financially invested interests involved, so a big thank you to all who have and will contribute to the cost of these studies.
@@leenysnell8804 Yes, it seems to be. When a person is metabolically healthy then the high LDL seems like it may be irrelevant. At least that's what I am hoping. I don't want to change my way of eating. I like not being a slave to food anymore. I've decided not to get any special blood tests done at this stage and wait and see what my next blood test shows (6 months between tests). If it goes up even more I may look into it further. I had a CAC of zero 1 year after going low carb (so I don't think it's due to low carb) so I'm thinking it might be worthwhile to get another one done later. If the dietary fat is an issue then you would think that it would worsen.
How is it possible to have negative remnant cholesterol? I get -7 when I subtract LDL and HDL from my total cholesterol. From an NMR Lipoprofile test I got done last week, that's where I am, but that doesn't seem possible. I'm a 65-year-old male, BMI of 19 (135 lb / 61kg), total cholesterol 553, LDL 474 (large or Pattern A), HDL 86, trig 56, VLDL too low to be measured, Lp(a) 18, HS-CRP 0.95 and insulin of 6.7. The LabCorp test results said the ApoB (at 256) was high, and it took some research to learn that high TC (or LDL) also means a high ApoB.
Dave Feldman is a person of the highest moral integrity....a hero!!

I am in Oz also and a standard hyper responder - exciting news :)

Very interesting results!
Thank you!
This video is over 6months old. What has happened since then?
