Justin. thank you so much for taking us "arm chair fishermen" along with you this year!!! i'm a 65+ year veteran of Lake Erie; but unable "to get out anymore". we've sold our boats. so the mrs and i sure appreciate all your efforts; and are "on the fish" vicariously through your efforts!!!" please keep up all the Hard Work and Great Video Content. very best to you and yours, and great success, in the new year. regards...walt+mrs.
They just stocked some blues here in the Allegheny river near Pittsburgh last summer. We don't have em up here, just some flatheads (30-40 lbers). I'm excited to live to see the day when those little guys grow up and mature.. It's the little things in life that keep you going. Great channel my friend, keep that line wet, and the world will turn.
Great video what a trip you had. Man I would love to have a day like that. Thanks for all the videos you share with all of us. Keep catching all those galley whoppers. Thanks Neil from West Virginia.
I've said before and I'm gonna say it again ain't nothing like ending my day than coffee with Kayak Catfish. Another awesome video Justin. Thanks you for making my night.
Whew! Recent subscriber from Texas. A cousin of mine out in Tennessee recommended you. One of these days I hope to get out there and catch some lake monsters right out there with ya! Excellent video!
Can't wait to see what whoppers come out of this spot as the weather turns. Love to see these awesome catches during winter. Great video as always. Have a blessed day Justin.
You are still the luckiest youngin to grace catfish. I hope you get a big 300 pound catfish like my buddy Larry dahlberg on the Amazon River. Film it so I can see. I do fish only catfish and can mount real hides and do too drawer work. Send me some over a hundred pounders to make a big stringer mounts. Keep up the good fishing!
I normally never fast forward a fight with a kitty but this one I did 1 min. Nice nice cat. Damn he's a long muscular fish. Not a lot of meat. Keep killing it.
I got interested in your videos when Elias fished with you in Tennessee. I subscribed when you fished with him in the Keys. Really great stuff you are doing and enjoying this even though I am a salt water guy.
We love your videos and all those monster catfish you catch! You inspire me to keep getting out there even when the weather is tough. Usually bass fish, but looking forward to using some of your fishing techniques for catfish in my kayak soon.
I can't wait to go hit the water. Out where I'm at, the only bodies of water that hold big fish are frozen over. Then on top of that, the spots where the big fish are, can't be safely accessed by kayak (Missouri River, Mississippi river). You either have to have a boat, or you have to hike a couple miles to fish from the bank. In a couple weeks though, the temps are supposed to go up and there might be a window to go out, hopefully the ice flows aren't bad.
You know Justin, I got me one of them fancy shmancy lookin golly whopper rods for xmas....... it's lookin pretty LOUSY!!!! lol just kidding. I'm SUPER excited to get it set up and to use it when it warms up. It really is a dang good lookin rod. Hope it works just as well as it looks 🤣🤣
I enjoy your channel! I am in the market to get a kayak but the budget is around 3-500. Can you get away with a fishing kayak in that price range? I am mainly going to use it at Hoover reservoir by Columbus, Ohio. Big blues in there but bank fishing you have to be at the right place right time. So looking to increase my odds
@@KayakCatfish luckily at Hoover reservoir it's electric only so you wouldn't be around pleasure or bass boats. I'll look around for used ones and see what I can find
I know I have said it before but those big flatheads just have evil thoughts when you release them. The blues get out of there as quick as they can even the big ones but the flatheads just lay there and stare at you then just kind of sink back in the depths.
I would say it depends on the size of your bait but most importantly the size of the fish, a big fish can fit a small hook in his mouth but a small fish can't fit a big hook in it's mouth

That cat hanging next to the kayak reminded me of a dog at the dinner table. I think he wanted his bait back Justin.👍
I love it when you drag in the BIG ONES 🎣
The caption did not emphasize how good this video was. That was a heck of a fishing trip. Great video
Really enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing your fishing trip with us online. I love to catch big cats! 🎣
Now you know how diabetics feel daily. You got lucky, you missed the barb. Nice cats. Thanks for sharing Justin.
Hoping for some Florida vids. Really liking the collab with Elias. You two are the tops of your craft.
First Florida video will air on Thursday at 7pm
Great Video Justin, I also love the ultra light fishing. I learn a lot from all of your videos! 👍🏽

That was one of the longest whiskers I have ever seen on that flathead….incredible!

Y’all need your own television series

Classic! Love to see it keep it up!!

Nice too have the blues like that. Congratulations 🎩
Hope you had a great Christmas 🎄
Love watching your channel please keep them coming peace out from Ohio Don T

That was awesome to watch!!
Great video! The bite was on. Bigger the bait the bigger the bite! FISH ON!
great video, great day of fishing. stay safe.
I subscribed because of the "Power T" :) Good video!
I get excited when my big live baits get bit too!
Cool video really enjoyed it but here in Texas it is illegal to use game fish as bait game warden catches you you get a hefty fine
This guy wearing his Tennessee hat makes me wonder if he is the Bill Dance of catfishing
That was fun to watch!
Great video as usual!
Love seeing whoppers on crappie!! Great video, man! Have a blessed night.
Thank you Teri!
Thank you for the catfish.

Two words..... LOVE THIS!!! 💯
Thanks Becca! I appreciate you watching.
You had a good day today
Is the fly with the live bait is to make it look like they are chasing something?
What a good fight! Awesome 😎
Someone said those yellow bass are a cousin too a sauger. It kinda makes sense because they both flare their gills out the same way.
Wow... what a giant. Do you run circles under your bobbers too?
Great video
Did I miss something tho, using game fish for bait?
Love this, my friend
What kind of kayak are you fishing from. Like you videos. I’m in the market for one and your seems to be very stable
Thanks
Here in texas it's illegal to use crappie for bait. As a matter of fact it's illegal to use any type of game fish as bait.
Same here im MN.
Awesome trip
I agree with w yore Thank you Justin. You always have great content. The best man. Thumbs up Brother Happy New year!!!!!
Thanks Ted!
I've never seen a guy trade a crappie for a cat fish.
Man the fish were angry lol. Another great video
Thanks John!
Nice catch on number 2
Nice fish!!
I’m curious as to why you cut the gut pocket out of your cut bait?
Hardest fighter of year!
Awesome! Hope you catch some monsters with it.
@@KayakCatfish lol appreciate it man. You know I gotta cause you some trouble. 🤣🤣
Reminds me of "The Old Man and The Sea"😆
What river/lake do you fish at?
Great video
That's definitely a "Golly Whopper" I Love it.
I wonder if he swallowed that crappie bait or if it came off. In either case, that's a beauty.
I'll just eat the crappie... Good eats right there
I enjoy your channel! I am in the market to get a kayak but the budget is around 3-500. Can you get away with a fishing kayak in that price range? You might find a deal on a good quality used kayak in that price range. New kayaks in that range are usually poor quality, unstable, and uncomfortable
@@KayakCatfish luckily at Hoover reservoir it's electric only so you wouldn't be around pleasure or bass boats. I'll look around for used ones and see what I can find
Good job brother
curious what is the purpose of tagging a trailing jig for.
I rather eat that crappie than a catfish. Best tasting fresh water fish ever😁
Amazing size..!
I know I have said it before but those big flatheads just have evil thoughts when you release them. The blues get out of there as quick as they can even the big ones but the flatheads just lay there and stare at you then just kind of sink back in the depths.
amazing. what size hooks should i use for catfish?
I use 10/0 size
I would say it depends on the size of your bait but most importantly the size of the fish, a big fish can fit a small hook in his mouth but a small fish can't fit a big hook in it's mouth
What reels are those?
I always cut the dorsal fin off my bait fish so they can't use the spikes to fight off my target fish.
We can't do this in ky but you can in tn
golly whopper... m,an that bnlue went for that 12" crappie wow.
What lake is that? State?
That's still a dandy WOW
You sound a little…different..in this video anyway, I can’t put my finger on it 🤔. But I love the vids
I've noticed what your talking about lol. Fish on y'all
What was the water temp that day Justin?
Low 50’s
Merry late Christmas
That was one mean fish!
What state is this in?
Impressive 🎣 🦦
