Book of Mormon Videos Wrap Second Season of Filming

- Filming wrapped near Springville, Utah, for the second season of the Book of Mormon live-action video series. The multi-year project is being produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to bring the stories of ancient-American civilization to life and share the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Elder LeGrand R. Curtis Jr of the Seventy who heads up the project’s steering committee says, “What we are producing through the videos and the still images that are being captured are tools that can be used in helping to introduce people to the Book of Mormon.
“This allows us to put a face to the names and the stories and allow you to see these people who really lived,” adds Bill Elliott, media director for the Church’s Publishing Services Department. “They breathed, they walked the land and these stories are real.”
I CANNOT WAIT!!!! LOVE THIS BOOK (The Book of Mormon)! It brought me so much closer to Christ. That and the Bible.

I'm so excited to see the book of mormon played out. I'm hoping I can hold onto the teachings better this way. I am a visual learner. God heard my prayers to help me understand the book better.

When will first season be released?
Where can we watch the whole movie? I am o excited I would like to show it to my non member family especially my mom.

So where do you go to watch the first season? Do you have a link? Any help in pointing me in the right direction is much appreciated.
Is it something only LDS have access to? I'm not Mormon; however I have found that Mormons seem to be the only religion willing to teach the Bible.
The first season will be out probably around the fall sometime.

This is a very challenging project. To date, with very few exceptions, movies produced for a Latter-day Saint market have been consistently terrible. Such exceptions would be Ephraim's Rescue and 17 Miracles. The rest, for the most part, inspire a great deal of nausea. Those produced by the Church itself have been rather better, but even in a wonderful film like Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration, it's almost impossible to deliver a line like "Silence, ye fiends of the eternal pit!" in Liberty jail and get an audience to take it seriously. That's because the Spirit is required to accompany it, otherwise it sounds contrived. The individuals in that jail with Joseph felt it and were awed, but in a theater or in front of a TV, not so much. That's what makes this project such a challenge, trying to communicate that genuine sense of the Lord's power. I hope they can do it.

Need more ethnic actors ... Polynesian ,native Americans, South Americans etc....it comes down to authenticity if the characters r portrayed as lamianites and nephritis and act like it .... They become more believable.....and the general public will willingly believe them .....
Sometimes, depending on location and scheduling, you can't always get that. But im satisfied with what we got. After all, the message is more important
