I think it definitely helps that your hair is super light (compared to let's say mine which is very very dark reddish-brown) cuz there's not a lot of pigment to get through. I'm graduating Cosmetology School this year and I think you did a really good job on your hair!! Yes it is true if you leave bleach on for over an hour it can damage it. Also if bleach totally dries out it stops working. Just a quick tip I thought I'd share. 😊

I’m a natural light strawberry blonde. I completely get what your saying. My roots come in so dark after bleaching my hair. Got the high lift color to try next time I do my roots. Right now I use ion icy white. You did a great job! I have a 7 month old son. I give you props for attempting this! I waited until he was 6 months to do my roots, never again will I wait that long. Thanks for sharing with us!
Use 10 volume developer and it deposites only in turn turning the sure into a toner. If I need that extra lift for the roots go ahead. But use a different forula for the ends as they're all ready at the level of lift u want and all you're doing is damage. This came out beautiful! Great job especially for at home!!!

If u add a tiny tiny bit of rose gold with the ash blonde it'll come out beautiful. When ur hair is too porous it'll take too much thats why it'll turn too grey purple or blue. Highlift is a hair color and ur actually doing more damage because it lifts and tones at the same time which once its light enough you dont need to lift anymore just tone. Id try that in place of the bleach on your virgin hair. Its a lot less damaging and comes out beautiful!
I use 20 developer with both the bleach and the toner. The timing is different every time and will be different for everyone - just keep an eye on it until it’s a super light yellow!

I liked it, and no breakage at all (using a 30vol developer), but it did have some brassy tones and purple shampoo doesn't have any effect on my hair for some reason. I tried bleaching my hair, with a 30 vol developer and used wella t18 toner and I got tiny breakage on my front pieces (I naturally have light brown/dark blonde hair). Other than that, bleaching was a success
@@ironbabyy oh good I'm scared to death. Because mines previously dyed blonde I have to bleach. I've got the bleach and 20volume toner and also the ion absolute protection booster that you put in the mixture it's supposed to hydrate your hair while the bleach is taking all the moisture out of it. Then I got the t18 also. And a couple masks for afterwards. I also have some coconut oil for afterwards. Just worried about getting the back all evenly covered because my hair is halfway down my back. Well cross your fingers lol. Think tomorrow's the day. Lol. Thanks for answering makes me feel a lil better
@@ironbabyy also my natural hair is the color yours is but it has been dyed a lil darker brown after a year of doing nothing to it trying to wash purple out and then I color removed the brown and dyed a light blonde but it wasn't or isn't light enough so.....us girls and our hair lol. But it's been awhile since I did that. .

I’m a licensed Master Cosmetologist. Kudos to you for only using a 20 volume on bleaching. I’m a bit concerned about your Toning procedure. You should only be using a 10 Volume for Toning. And 15-30 minutes max on that process. By using a higher volume and more time, you are only doing more damage to your hair. It looks as though you have breakage on the ends as they look thin. Do a good trim of at least 2 inches to get off that damage. Overall, your hair looks okay for what you are doing to it. Try Age Beautiful cream lightener and 30 volume to get a good lift on roots with less damage than powder lightener. Please let me know what you think. I have over 40 years of experience working on hair and I hope this will be helpful to you in the future. Best wishes! 👍🙏💕☮️

They make a ion pre~color treatment .. which is a pore equalizer which is suppose to help hair come out even when dying:) I think u can even find some kinda of pore equalizer off Amazon if ur interested 💇🏼♀️

High lift blonde is just a bleach with a toner so effectively you are bleaching your hairTWICE. (Hope you talked to your Doc about bleaching/colouring your hair while breast feeding.).

No one can agree about this topic. Most doctors are now saying they think the risk is minimal but those opinions can change without notice. The risk appears pretty low though.

So pretty... you are essentially bleaching your hair twice. The high lift is bleach with added toner.

Developer and bleach is pre-shower, developer and toner is post-shower!
The toner that I used is technically a dye and toner so that's why I said that!
