Connections 606 - NYT Word Game - 6 February 2025

- The New York Times is back with another new daily word game, Connections! This is heavily inspired by "The Wall" from the BBC quiz show Only Connect. You must sort the sixteen given words into thematically appropriate groups of four--and you only have a few opportunities for error! I don't know if I'll be solving this every day but I'm giving it a shot for now at least. We'll see how it goes. Let me know how you like it!

You obviously had a REVERSE RAINBOW, Chris, quickly solving Connections which did not surprise me. I did OK in all three games being Connections, Strands, and Wordle. Again, Wordle is my best game. I also do Word Hurdle twice a day with the 6 letters. 😎
I think it was a pretty distinct yellow because there wasn’t much crossover
Purple first, despite not being into jazz necessarily. So that was fun.
Also got the purple category first. Figured that made me a jazz nerd.
There was definitely the noble category and the giddy category. We had to start with the jazz today to eliminate some words. Got the reverse rainbow today as well!
That hardest part of Connections is trying to figure out which is the green and which is the yellow
Long Islanders guessing “Great Neck” were screwed!
Congratulations on the reverse rainbow! 🙌
Pretty simple. Saw the necks first and wouldn’t have gotten that purple first! Convrats to jazz fans who got it

green and yellow first, then the Jazz names though I never heard of Cab, but none of the other 4 words I still had could be interpreted as a name! I did think of neck right at the start with bottle and giraffe, but couldn't find the other 2 until the end.
You forgot to cut the beginning
nice, double intro

I didn’t make the jazz musician connection. I know the names of Dizzy and Duke. The others I didn’t know by name but I am somewhat familiar with their music.
