You get what you pay for with boats 🤷🏻♂️ this is the unfortunate reality of the new boat market nowadays. I do have a video coming out from this show that shows what “affordable” center console options there are at the show.
The engines are close to $80k I think

Big fan of Bluewater. Good call on finally removing that step. Price seems a little high. For a very comparable boat for approx 100K less, you could get a Pair Marine 24DV (also 28 LOA)
Bluewater makes some great boats. As far as the price, yes it is a lot. But idk the cost breakdown of how they get to that price, so I can’t help with that. All I know is that materials are expensive and good labor is hard to find
I love pair however you’re only coming i 100k less with no electronics or any real options. I seriously considered one before going in another direction and was easily at $160k on a single engine 24DV with electronics and modest options. You could easily spent 180k+ on one. So yea, a good bit cheaper no doubt but unless you’re comparing a no optioned boat to this one here which seems pretty loaded out with probably $20k atleast in electronics you’re not undercutting it by 100k
@@joshtavenner3073 That seems high. I just priced one out with twin 200s, dual garmin 12s, vhf, transducer, outriggers, jl sub and speakers, and more for right around 150K including trailer. For some reason I thought the price on the BW for 240K so, yeah, I was off on the 100K mark. Regardless, just letting others know that there are still good boats to be had well under 200K.
I hadn't heard of them before and haven't ran a Pair Marine personally, but they look like a solid boat. I would run both and see what you like better.
those accon pop up cleats have been around for 30+ years. They do bend if you yank on them to much. If you don't use the boat, they can get stuck. But I'm still a fan of them. Good video!

We have been using them for years, our customers like them and we haven't had problems with them.
I looked at the Bluewater 2550 hard (before the 25T came out) but glad I ultimately ended up getting a Pair Customs 24DV because I paid way less than that for, imo, a better all around boat!
I've never heard of Pair Customs... where are they based out of?

Looks like an everglades 253. It comes with a single verado 400, jack plate, power pole, windless,, but it’s about 270k

Thanks! The team worked really hard on this boat and we took it personally to get his last boat design finished and make it to the show. A lot of hours and late nights went into it.

Beautiful boat but to many other great options at a more affordable price.
There are definitely different options for people looking in lower price points. But I always like to say, just keep in mind you get what you pay for in this industry

@@LivinSalty I understand about materials. But boat prices are primarily based on what the market can bear. And I don’t fault bluewater. All the power to em if they can get that price. But there was a time when bluewater was considered a solid, more affordable rig.
Most competitors got rid of their step long ago. You mention 25' length many times, but never once mention the narrow 8' 5" beam (the rep mentions it in passing at the end). No one mentions the 24 degree deadrise, which will be great underway, but otherwise that boat is going to rock like no tomorrow with the narrow beam. No grab or toe rails anywhere in bow. No house battery? Can you mount a trolling motor up there with that cleat? Non-skid looks slippery. Is this a paid advertisement?
not a paid advertisement. yes it has an 8'5 beam. This boat is meant to eat chop and ride better than any cc in its class. It does rock a bit, but some people prefer a better ride over more rock. no bow rails. there is a house battery. yes they mount trolling motors on many 25T's. non-skid is not slippery.

the price on that boat...damn. makes me appreciate my seahunt more and more for the "mid tier" boats. this is nice, but get way more boat for the money with seahunt.
Brand new sea hunts are not this much, you are right about that. But a new seahunt comparable to this is still gonna run you probably 150k-200k I’d estimate
yep. their pricing is listed on their page as well. I have a '22 27 gamefish with 250's and helm master and it was only 177 after tax. they are right at 200 now I think. The 25's with 200's are obviously much less.@@LivinSalty
Thanks for the feedback. We kept the price as low as possible. It's hard to compare a production boat to a small custom builder. We use materials and methods that cost more and take more time to build--and require skilled boat builders not assembly line type workers. You may pay more up front, but on the resale side you have a boat people are specifically looking for and should get most of your investment back. We think we have the boat fairly, if not under priced compared to other boats we see as our competition.
I can fully respect that aspect. I am a small business owner-a GC. We do higher end projects and no, we cannot compete with larger, more production oriented builders on price, but our quality is head and shoulders above the competition and our customers know and desire that. You can make a lot more money being McDonalds rather than being the one high end steak house in town, but I'd rather be the steak house for my own satisfaction and legacy. it seems like you would too and I applaud that. I'd be interested now in actually checking one of your boats out to get a first hand feel of the quality difference. it's difficult to do via video, which is the reason for my comment in the first place. @@BWboatsall boats are too expensive now new but you get excellent bang for buck with your boats. No production boat will run as smoothly and fast as these BW. Excellent fit and finish too. Them even mentioning sea hunt in the same sentence is ridiculous. BW is in a whole different class in terms of quality and performance.

"Feedback from their customers?" All three of them, or just a majority? Oh, and don't let that front fish box lid SLAM shut on your fingers or toes due to no hold-open struts. I think it would hurt and you'd likely bleed out while laying unconscious down in there before anybody found you.

I'm not sure what you mean by hold-open struts. We made the decision to use Gemlux friction hinges on this boat for the cleaner look and less maintenance. Our other boats use gas shocks, which might be what you are referring to, both do the same thing by holding the hatch open and taking the weight off when you are closing them.
Why are boat prices so high? Because apparently, a lot of people have more money than brains and are paying stupid money for new boats. As long as that continues, prices will never be reasonable.
Cost of materials and labor I think are the two main problems that have caused the prices to be so high. Every manufacturer I talk to tells me about how much trouble it is to find good help

Do you have any first hand experience with them? I've never heard of them until the google search I just made. New company founded in Abu Dhabi in 2017. I'd much rather buy a boat built in the US, but I'm curious if you've had experience with them
@@LivinSalty ya so the hull is made in Abu Dhabi but all the rigging is in America full tanks are uscg approved and the boat is considered American made
Rides amazing went out in 12-15 foot waves on a demo going 40 on the 30 and was so comfortable wasn’t slamming no bow steering like freeman and sneezing also like freeman

there's so many cookie cutter boats out there and for $200,000 plus dollars; that skinny kid can't even hardly fit between the side of the boat and the console!! no way in hell!

With the integrated legset there is plenty of room on the sides of the console. We were able to make out console bigger and increased the walkaround room by 6 inches on each side compared to our 2550, which 100s of happy owners.
No step hull and no room for a trolling motor. Dead on arrival
Step hulls are not as common in this size center console, 30ft+ starts to become more common. And there’s plenty of room for a trolling motor, idk what your talking about
@@LivinSalty check out pathfinder boats, 6 models with step hulls and pre wired for trolling motors. All under 27ft
@@imlegend4920 we installed a trolling motor on the next 25T we built, not sure what you mean by no room for a trolling motor. Almost any boat has room for a trolling motor. We can prewire for a trolling motor if a customer wants to add one later.

Go look at other new 25ft boats (28ft LOA) with twins on it and report back with how much lower their prices are. Would love to hear it. Bluewater has great build quality and a reputation to back it up. This is what new boats cost now.
