@@boonip you can pretty walk on the crutches once the anesthesia wears off after surgery. The biggest issues are pain tolerance and monitoring swelling. I ended needing an additional surgery on April 26th so I’m currently back in a cast. Would still highly recommend the surgery
I had this surgery, combined with an Achilles lengthening and a Kidner's procedure to remove a very large accessory navicular bone all at once. I am on week 7 with a cast now. Getting the cast off in a few days and then it's into a boot and I'll be beginning weight bearing. I have severe atrophy in my leg muscles, and I doubt I'll be able to walk very well for several weeks, and then onto rehab. God knows how long this will take.
@@aishahaney4239 hello well I have returned back to work and I'll tell ya, there are good days n' bad days but it's definitely better than it was before.
@@boonip awe well I’m praying that it’s mostly good days. I’m sorry not trying to vent to you but I’m so nervous about the surgery. I have to have a fusion and a coalition remove and this, and this part of the surgery scares me the most. I’m in pain everyday but I don’t wanna be in more pain than I was before.
@@aleahkadry9033 Honestly it turned out well my foot is better than ever now. I'm glad I went and had the surgery done. It was rough in the beginning as all most surgeries but it turned out well I am satisfied
How long was the recovery? When were you able to put weight on your foot?
I’m getting this surgery tomorrow on my left ankle 🤞🏾
