    FYI.. ONLY use 'round' toilets in homes with ONLY woman... Men, need elongated toilets for obvious reasons when sitting. IMO

    Plumbers say measure from the wall not the baseboards. Thoughts?

      Yes, definitely measure from the wall. But honestly if you're trying to figure out if it's 10" or 12", that little baseboard isn't going to make a difference.

    Hello! How do you measure a toilet? In your video you measure from the base board and not exactly the wall. Or I have to measure from the exact wall and not from the base board? Please let me know, thanks!

    • @MomCanFixIt

      You really should measure from the wall, not the baseboard but since the answer should be either 10 or 12, it should be pretty obvious, whichever way you measure.

    Hey, Mom can fix, is it possible to ask you a question? I agree with everything you say and you are very practical. I am down to selecting toilet between 3 models. Have tiny space... door clears toilet bowl by 2 inches. Am down to Kohler or Toto... any way to contact you? ;D Hopefully I hear back. ;D Thanks for your great video!!

    Poor advice. You don't measure from molding or built up trim that sticks out from the bottom of the wall! You are about 1" off already. you measure from the finished surface of the wall itself. that would be the wall surface or plane at the height of the back of the tank. The whole reason for the rough in measurement is so there is enough room for the tank and lid, once the toilet is assembled and attached to the plumbing. More "experts"

    i could have sworn you are supposed to measure from the wall not the baseboard

    • @MomCanFixIt
      @MomCanFixIt  2 роки тому +6

      Yes, you are supposed to measure from the wall. But measuring from the baseboard will get you close enough that you can figure out which rough in your have.

      You are correct, it is correctly measured from wall not baseboard

      @@MomCanFixIt That's not really true depending on how thick your baseboard is. People should measure from the wall.

    • @MomCanFixIt
      @MomCanFixIt  2 роки тому +1
